This hotel have redeemed a voucher for a hotel stay when we never stayed. I have been emailing and calling them for weeks to confirm the date and no one answers the phone or replies to my emails. They've then redeemed the voucher and not even told us! Absolutely shocked and appalled by this and hope that when Buyagift investigate further we will be getting our money back. Such a shame as was really looking forward to staying after seeing such great reviews, but it doesn't appear to be a well run business at all. No one manning the phones, and if someone does answer they can't help as they're the only one on duty and doing food service (what I've been told when I have managed to get through). Had one email reply asking for my dates of availability, replied within a few days and then never heard back. To then find they've redeemed the voucher knowing we are still to confirm a date is appalling. I also received a call advising that the kitchen was closing and asking where we were (this was on the original date of our booking) when I'd already been in touch back and forth about moving the date which they said was fine. I told them the lady who called this and she apologised. But then clearly she did nothing with that information and redeemed the voucher anyway. Absolutely unacceptable service.

We have stayed in the Dial House a number of times on our summer holidays to Norfolk. Love the themed bedrooms and eclectic interior. All sorts of eclectic bric-a-brac on sale! Our only disappointnent this time was lack of dinner on a summer Sunday evening. We had a long road trip. The whole place shuts down by about 5.30. I guess they have to consider staffing costs, even the pub opposite stopped serving at 6pm but you would think a fine Sunday summer evening in a picturesque part of Norfolk was a wasted opportunity! So we walked up the road for snacks from the Coop. Breakfast was continental which we liked but we are sure the last time there was a cooked option (maybe a consequence of staying Sunday night). However, when the guests have gone the piano plays on. I don't think it has been tuned since I first played it in 2018!

Beautiful venue, beautiful location but was very let down by the lack of information given when ordering our food which left two of our party with a main meal with no sides to it at all & the dish that we had waited over 60 minutes for clearly had just been defrosted & then cooked which let the dish very sad ! The knowledge of wines was very poor. This place has all the ingredients to be amazing but the food & the knowledge of the staff is really letting it down! So sad as was really looking forward to the experience.

Our stay was very enjoyable but we stayed on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening which meant the restaurant was closed on the first evening. Instead we dined at the Kings Arms where we enjoyed it so much we went again the following evening. The biggest disappointment was that breakfast was "continental" meaning there was no cooked option. However, the staff were fabulous, friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We had to leave early on the the Thursday meaning we missed breakfast but on being advised of this, we were offered a takeaway croissant with cheese and a coffee which was very much appreciated. Shame about breakfast though. 😕

The hotel, and our room (Natural History) were perfect. The self check-in was easy, and we had really detailed messages before arrival with all the info we needed. The NH room had a lovely private terrace so we could sit outside. Lovely decor in the room and an immaculate bathroom. Breakfast in the Bread Source café downstairs was delicious - our £10pp 'allowance' stretched to a coffee, huge croissant and a delicious muffin (to eat later!) - with change to spare! Unfortunately we had to cut our 2-night stay short due to my illness, which I was gutted about. The 1 night we were there, we ate at The Crown pub in the village. We'd booked The King's Arms for our 2nd night, but had to cancel that. We hope to return for another stay!

I feel that the stay was overpriced even though it was described as ‘Bread & Breakfast’. Beautiful rooms but they are clearly wanting to have minimal staff thus you get the feel of no service. Croissants and pastries and drinks to the value of £10 is not a good breakfast, even the offer of some fruit, granola, yogurt or milk would be an improvement. Disappointed compared with previous stays.

The room was very nice and good value. Enjoyed having a bath in the bedroom (but no soap for the bath (had my own luckily),nice shower soap etc,but fixed to the wall in the bathroom,which is great for the shower itself and appreciated,but difficult to get some out for the bath,in the bedroom. No big deal,but just a small point. But the building suffers for a lack of a bar . It just feels too sterile with the lack of a front face to the business. There is a nice terrace to the front,which would be so much nicer to be able to have a sandwich /snack and a glass of wine. It seems a shame,as you can see there once was a very nice bar inside,downstairs,it was just too quiet for us.

The concept of no onsite staff or restaurant worked amazingly well and, in fact, when we found that we needed an extension lead the response to our phone call was excellent. The room was beautiful with everything (especially the bed and bedding) of the highest quality. Dinner in the pub across the square was very good and the croissants we had for breakfast were delicious and huge. We look forward to staying at the Dial House again soon.

Room had all you’d want, plenty of tea, proper milk in a fridge, and real coffee. Big room and the ornate bath was great. I thoroughly recommend this hotel😎🙅‍♂️
