Could be charming, but grounds are neglected and furniture inadequate. ONE chair for a "self-catering" room? Does the second guest stand to eat? Room had 2 small nightstands and one larger that doubled as the "counter" for the "self-catering" barely enough room to prepare coffee. Our companions' room did not even have the self-catering for one friendly worker that we happened to meet b/c we found the property early, saw no one. Note on advance email that "there are only two of us for 3 properties" apparently was the excuse. Must email to communicate, phone calls unanswered. My advance email went unanswered. Dirty, sagging cushions on the porch chairs. Dead ferns & foliage lying all around. That is not "ecological." Business cards state "mini wet bar" and "cable TV." TVs were mounted, w/ a sign "do not work-amenity coming in the future." Sign in lobby "to print boarding passes, see front desk;" which did not exist. Because of confusion about how to enter the locked interior, some guests looked for their units via the unit porch doors, which HAD NO NUMBERS. At 11 PM an arriving guest tried his key in our exterior door. We are familiar w/ Volcano; stayed at another property in in the past. We know that none are luxurious, but this property was unacceptable, except for the bathroom. Tiny, but beautiful new tile work in the shower. Apparently the electrical wiring is not quite adequate, however, as there were instructions & warnings about using the hair dryer.
