Older property in need of an update. Property was clean but needed repairs and maintenance. No breakfast only keruig coffee. Manager was helpful with suggestions for the area.

I booked an overnight stay for a work project in Southampton. The reality of my stay was not aligned with the expectations I had based on the listing page and reviews of the property. I chose this hotel because of the many positive reviews and the description reading “motel with private beach”. I thought it would be a nice opportunity to walk the beach in the evening or morning for a break between busy work days. However, at check-in, when I asked if I could walk to the beach I was informed that it’s necessary to drive as the (local, public) beach is several miles away (a 4 mile, 9 minute drive or a 1 hour and 20 minute walk). It’s absolutely inaccurate for this property to be marketing itself as having a private beach. I was told that my room had been upgraded, which was kind. The room I was assigned had an uncomfortable king bed with deep body impressions, an AC unit which was completely covered by the blackout curtains, making it necessary to choose between a bright room or a hot room (window cranks were broken, so opening windows for ventilation was out of the question). Mediocre cleanliness - linens seemed fine but the tile floor felt sticky and the grout was dirty. I hate to speak ill of the inn. However I wanted to provide a more realistic and informative picture than the other reviews here. The grounds were pretty and the check-in staff was friendly and knowledgable about the area. With TLC this could be a very charming place.

I love this place. I stay here often. I’m from close by but it’s a nice little get away from home.

Not far from town and the beach. Super cute place with a nice clean room. Welcoming and helpful staff. I would like to return in the summer to use the pool and enjoy the patio area. Parking was easy and no issues with WiFi. Coffee maker in the room with extra coffee and cream available in the main office area. I booked one night and stayed two. I had to drive to restaurants and the beach but it wasn’t far and I imagine in the summer it would be a nice bike ride. They had bbqs available and the room had a mini fridge which was nice. I really liked the helpful staff.

The "King" and "Double Full" rooms are MUCH better than the "Queen" room. Lots of little glitches in all of them, but none truly terrible, except for the size of the "Queen" room (barely large enough to fit the bed!) and it's noisy A/C-Heat unit. Small showers may be considered "terrible" by large guests. Quaint, ageing motel that reminds me of places our family used to stay at in the 50's. Brass door keys are a fun throw-back.

An old motel that could be splendid if only updated. It gives the feel of yesteryear and is centrally located for vacation activities but also has a Mom & Pop feeling inviting relaxation. It was pretty disappointing and we almost left and went home (a 2 hour drive) but had to be back out in the area the following day so we stuck it out. Reception (Dylan) was a fabulous Host and most welcoming. It is an old and modified room with very old furnishings. Coffee Keurigs made up for what was lacking. There were stained sheets and bugs in the overhead skylight shade, EWWW, YUK! A little work (Floor refinishing) New toilets, since the toilet was the size seen in an elementary school and difficult to stand from. And perhaps new beds/linens and couches would help convince this traveler to stay here again. I cannot remark about the shower since we did not use it. Newer tiling (except for the floor) is a start in the right direction. OH, AND the TV was, like 18", ridiculous! Didn't even bother turning it on. My husband said, the sooner we go to sleep, the sooner we can leave.

The grounds are beautiful. The help is great as they make sure everything you need is there. Helpful with places in the area. Room was clean and comfortable.
