My husband and I spent 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon. On the night of our arrival, the most kind employee checked us in after hours and carried our bags up the many stairs. I wish I could remember his name, but he was wonderful! There was some construction during our stay, and someone in management gave us free drinks and apologized for the construction, even though it was not his fault and out of his control. We really liked these 2 staff members. However, the 3rd staff member we interacted with couldn’t have been more rude. On our final night the air conditioning was broken and the staff member gave us the most sarcastic apology. Then, during check out on October 1st, the same employee asked if we removed anything from the room and gave us a lecture on honesty even though we didn’t remove anything other than our own belongings. He also made a very large deal about the fact that we didn’t have cash to pay the city tax, which we weren’t told we would need. He lectured us about this as well and said it was the first time in 5 years someone paid by card. A real shame, because everyone else at the hotel couldn’t have been nicer.
