老碼頭房子酒店(The Old Quay House Hotel)

Lovely accommodations and staff! Close to shops and restaurants. The patio is a perfect place to just watch the world go by.

Pillows were hard and flat. The mattress was acceptable but could be better. It was warm weather - around 18 C during our stay - but the heating was on. Bedrooms extremely hot. The common areas were also very hot with radiators on full despite the doors and windows being open. Seagulls also noisy some mornings. Would not stay again.

Dinner Bed & breakfast ... let's start with bedroom 5 which is possibly on the refurb list. A comfortable room, super-king bed, balcony & ensuite shower room with v nice toiletries. Room was big, bed comfy, nice views. Had to hunt around for a plug for the kettle and eventually found it in the drawer. Silly us not to look in the drawer! Nice tea tray with kettle and nespresso machine. Also complementary water. Lots of dust behind bedside tables- 4 in a bed would have had a field day! Dinner was good, good and not so good. Pricey wine- cheapest was £30 a bottle. Starters & mains nice enough & service good despite there only being one staff member doing it all, poor bloke. He was v cheery despite the pressure. Puds were a let- down, Pannacotta with strawberries was a puddle of Pannacotta with super sweet strawberry syrup - (tinned?) and fresh strawberries topped with a sort of sweet crumble. A plain Pannacotta with a few strawberries would have been much nicer! No complaints about breakfast apart from an Aunt Bessie's-style hash brown. Lovely refill of teapot & toast was a nice touch.

Would highly recommend. Friendly helpful staff. Good choice for breakfast. Very comfortable bed.Centrally located. Restaurants, shops and ferries on the door step to go to Polruan to take the bus to Looe/Polperro. Beautiful spot to stay in with terrace overlooking the harbour to while away the time.

We loved this high standard hotel, right in the centre of Fowey, with quaint streets to the front and the river estuary at the back with waterfront patio area to watch the 'river world' go by. The double aspect river view bedroom was stunning, with very comfortable mattresses and beautiful en suite. Definitely worth paying a little more to stay in this room, it was so relaxing! The dining area has direct waterfront views and the food was first class and beautiful presented. Staff were all pleasant and friendly and the hotel is immaculately clean and has a lovely ambience. There is the very slight inconvenience of parking being a short stroll away but this was more than made up for by staying in this delightful small hotel in such a beautiful location. We would certainly visit again!

Charming property ideally situated in the beautiful town of Fowey. If staying for more than 1 night book B and B as the menu does not change. Parking is difficult.

We would stay here again, ideal spot to explore Fowey and surrounding area. Lovely views over estuary from patio bar area and our room. 10 min walk to carpark (Caffa mill car park) but not an issue as we brought rucksacks and you can drop luggage then park. If you pay parking on app makes it easier to extend in the morning - rather than walking down to buy ticket.

We have just returned from a short break at this superb hotel. We stayed in room 6 which had two sets of French doors that opened to give an uninterrupted view of the estuary and it was brilliant to sit and watch the harbour waking up each morning while drinking an early morning coffee. Everyone at this hotel was very friendly and helpful right from the reception staff to the night watchman. The food was refreshingly created and a superb breakfast set us up,for the day ahead. This is definitely a hotel that we will return to someday.

The hotel, staff and especially the food were brilliant. The menu is select and perfectly presented. Our superior room had a cute balcony, but which made the stay. Fowey is very hilly and narrow so not for people with mobility difficulties.
