Set back slightly from the main street this is the most welcoming hotel I think I've stayed in. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel like old friends. For Kim and her team nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable, set amongst beautiful, peaceful gardens. The breakfasts were amazing, I particularly recommend the brie and mushroom tartine. Offers of refreshments and great recommendations for where to eat were always on hand. Even a toasted cheese and ham sandwich and a refreshing lemonade when we had over indulged on the Wine Tram (thank you very much Morne) Their wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area made deciding what do much easier. Due to storms while we stayed in Cape Town we missed out on Robben Island and Table Mountain. An eagle eye was kept on the weather and Juan took us on a day trip, being our personal driver for the day even adding a couple of things to our itinerary. I should also give a special mention to Aubrey,(thank you for your evening chats) Cecelia, Ashley and Franklyn who also made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable along with the many staff who work behind the scenes. PS. Take the bikes out. Its great fun
