埃爾卡皮坦汽車旅館(El Capitan Motel)

Stayed here in January 2022 on a cross-country business trip. The original plan was to keep going, but snowstorms along the route precipitated a stop in Gallup. Having stayed many times along B-40 in Gallup, I was looking for a low-cost room with a minimum of frills. The room was definitely very experienced (some of the furniture could have been 50 years old), but I had a good evening's rest.

I stayed for over two months while on contract work, would of stayed longer but they shut down for renovations. The management was nice and very accommodating. I had absolutely no problems with them. I never once in the two months I was there felt unsafe and the door had a deadbolt and no one ever bothered me. They upgraded me to a king size with no extra charge because of my stay. The water pressure was great and never run out of hot water and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in in a motel. If you're looking for five star or even the Taj mahal then you need to look somewhere else but for a good night's sleep for a good price this is the perfect place to be.
