陶通納旅館(Tautona Lodge)

Quelques kms de Ghanzi en empruntant un chemin de 4.8 km. Beaux chalets pas loin d’une piscine, mais pour nous c’est tente à 400 mètres en empruntant un chemin rempli de sable et le 4x4 nous est bien utile…Accueil impersonnel. Belle piscine. Bon wifi. Lit propre et large, mais de la crotte de rat un peu partout ! Super petit-déjeuner. Un peu pénible de devoir prendre la voiture pour aller à la piscine, à la réception ou à la salle de repas, ce qui n'était pas indiqué clairement dans l'annonce pour les tentes.

Wir verbrachten im Oktober eine Nacht in einem Chalet in der Tautona Lodge. Die Anlage ist grundsätzlich gut angelegt aber man hat den Eindruck, dass hier schon lange nichts mehr gemacht wurde. Vieles wirkt abgenutzt und heruntergewirtschaftet. Was repariert wurde, wirkte auf mich eher gebastelt und improvisiert. Leider gab es in unserem Chalet keine Moskitonetze.(Schade, den Moskitos gibt es) Das Chalet macht darüber hinaus auf uns den Eindruck, dass es mal einer Renovierung bedarf, dies sieht man auch an den Duschen und insgesamt an der Hygiene der Chalets (geht auch anders, das haben wir in anderen Lodge besser gesehen) Das Essen war insgesamt OK, vieles auf der Karte war aber gar nicht verfügbar. Die Angestellten waren teils freundlich und bemüht, wirkten aber zum Teil auch etwas unmotiviert. Ich persönlich würde nach dieser Erfahrung diese Lodge meiden. Leider gibt es im Bereich Ghanzi kaum Alternativen und die Strecke nach Maun zieht sich dann extrem.

Mi sono trovato molto bene in questo lodge. Le stanza sono delle unità abitative abbastanza spaziose. Arredate con cura e stile. Unità pecca sono i bagni, molto trasandati. Ho provato anche il ristorante. Buono. Un plus del lodge è sicuramente la possibilità di fare un Safari, internamente ci sono leoni, giraffe, impala… Bella esperienza.

Service at reception, bar, restaurant was excellent from the moment we walked through the door. Tents were clean and functional, just what to expect from tented accommodation.

The room was inadequately serviced with requisites. The request to combine the twin beds was ignored until late evening The shower taps are not earthed properly and transmitted electric shocks during showering - potentially dangerous

It's a long drive from Gaborone to Ghanzi but well worth it when you arrive at Tautona lodge. Have stayed here before and I can't fault it. The staff are very friendly and their service wonderful. Love the place.and will certainly be staying there again.

Bar servicd and dinner was great, room comfortable but not spotless, gardens unkept, a number of simple issues can be addressed to make this a great stopover for campers and tourists

I stayed here twice. I loved seeing the lions nearby. The restaurant is fairly good, but service is very slow. Order dinner 1-2 hours prior to when you want to eat. Rooms are spare with spartan bathrooms. I booked through ******* and prepaid for lodging. When I checked out, I was charged again for the lodging. Repeated calls were made to the Lodge to get them to acknowledge their error. I asked to have the charges for lodging reversed but they wouldn't do it. I finally had to dispute the credit card charge when I got home. There may be better choices for lodging in the Ghanzi area.

The lodge is definitely in need of tlc. Rooms are comfortabe and clean. We spoke to security guard outside and our vehicles were fine the next morning. Food was ok would definitely recommend the pizza.
