卡呂普索酒店(Hotel Calypso)

Staff are helpful, location is close to beach and Salt Pans. People relying on public transport needa be aware that buses are always coming late, a bit tricky to catch buses in Gozo. Anyhow, the hotel itself is fine, you may tell some areas are dated but you cant ask for too much with this price in this location.

The balcony is very small.

Best location in Marsalforn. Next to the harbour with a great selection of restaurants right outside. Rooms clean and comfortable. This is the third time we've stayed here, so they must be doing something right. Buffet breakfasts good, although we didn't often make it in time as they stop at 0930. Perhaps an additional half hour might be an idea. Rooftop pool and bar are a great place to sunbathe during the day and enjoy a drink watching the sun set. Get a sea view or bay view room - well worth the extra. When we arrived, the WiFi wasn't working, but we reported it and they supplied a repeater to boost the signal in the room. Excellent service. Staff friendly and helpful, would recommend wholeheartedly. We expect to return for a fourth visit next year, perhaps in a suite this time...

Old and tired hotel, no facilities, rooms are not comfy at all and the pool and pool area is in a terrible shape. Not a 4 * hotel, i would rather say a 2* according to the standard. Its such a pitty because the location is beautiful so the hotel has a big plus and good potential but bad management! It was a big dissapointment! Breakfast ok and the staff are nice especially Alexandra from the front desk.

Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel, mit schöner Dachterrasse. Dort gibt es einen Pool, und eine Bar. (leider sind die Strahler etwas sehr hell) Sehr freundliches Personal. Absolut sauber. Mein Zimmer war mit Balkon und ausreichend groß. Die Ausstattung gut, die Lage direkt an der Bucht. Abends gibt´s ein bisschen Trubel von den Lokalen unterhalb des Hotels, aber ab Mitternacht war immer Ruhe. Die tolle Tauchbasis Calypso Divers ist direkt nebenan. Frühstück war gut und abwechslungsreich. Kein absolutes Highlight, aber für jeden was dabei und es wurde immer nachgefüllt, wenn was ausgegangen ist. Für mich war´s top. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

I was in room 518 please avoid this room if you want a peaceful stay. They failed to tell me that my room was directly underneath the rooftop where the pool is and where they host the evening entertainment. This particular night was karaoke. It is no exaggeration to say that the noise levels are horrendous. I used my custom made total block earplugs in and I could still hear adults shouting/singing to music. It was that bad it was vibrating my bedside cabinet. I called the reception several times to be told there’s nothing they can do but to be patient as it would finish at 23.30 pm. I appreciate the hotel needs to have entertainment but I think it’s unfair not to warn people of this to give them the option of not staying in affected rooms. I had planned a long day of activities which I had to rearrange due to lack of sleep. It ruined a full day for me. I found alternate accommodation and I asked for a part refund on the extra night I’d paid to stay but they said no and that was that! They said I should have requested a quiet room! I didn’t request a quiet room as it’s reasonable to expect a certain level of noise in a hotel but this was excessive. Had I been made aware then of course I would have asked not to stay on the 5th floor. I will never stay here again. The staff attitudes was they couldn’t have cared less.

Nous étions de passage en couple pour manger Le cadre est agréable et très propre sur front de mer mais les tables sont parfois trop rapprochées. Cela donne un effet cantine à ce 4 étoiles L’équipe de filles de salle est très sympathique et à l’écoute Les responsables le sont moins. Les produits ne sont pas toujours très frais sauf les fruits. Les saucisses par exemple n’ont aucun goût. Fromage pas terrible. Le rapport qualité prix est moyen.

Ottima location anche se l'Hotel è un pò datato,fantastico l'intrattenimento nel terrazzo al 6° piano,dove viene offerto un buon menù e un'ampia selezione di drink.Unica pecca al momento del dolce al Ristorante del primo piano: mi hanno servito una pannacotta con ancora piatti sporchi e residui di cibo (pane,burro) sul tavolo.Del resto tornerò sperando che questi piccoli dettagli,che fanno grandi differenze,siano migliorati.
