Sarovar Portico Gir resort is very strategically located and easy on the pocket, its close to both the Lion Safari and the Devaliya Interpretation Zone, The hotel ambience is very neatly done..with a pool and play area for children.The resort staff is very friendly and always ready to make amendments as per the convenience of the guest. Mr. Rahul, the Guest Relation manager was very helpful in assisting us with all the necessary arrangements. All in all it was a wonderful stay, and we plan to go back there in the monsoon season too

Sarovar Portico Gir would thrill a bird-lover. Lion sightings are a matter of luck. We sighted a Lioness, other than Nilgais, Mongoose, Sambhar, Deers, Peacocks, Monkeys and a Mongoose. We stayed in a Forest view Studio room. A well maintained swimming pool, badminton court and activity area keeps the kids busy. A documentary on Gir was shown in one of the evenings. The safari was also booked a month in advance, and we could share it with another guest couple. Mr Rahul or Mr Piyush should be contacted for the same.The room was spacious enough for the three of us. A Bird watching trip in the evening with Mr Rahul helped us identify the names of birds that we could shoot with our camera. There are over 200 types of bird in Gir. Overall superb experience So pack your bags right away.

Good spacious well maintained newly made rooms.. quite close to national park entry and exit gate.. they have littl play garden for kids Food is good. Special mention and thank you to Mr Hemchand at the restaurant for serving us and taking great care of our family .

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.Excellent location with the Gir so nearby . The staff was very good and cooperative.Would specially like to thank Khalid and Sushil for taking special care. Would like to surely come again.😊

Truly an amazing experience. Friendly staff, hygienic place, food is great. Very happy that we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary in Sarovar Portico. Special mention to Khalid who arranged for the cake and helped with the poolside experience. Had a wonderful and memorable experience.
