Only stayed one night but the room was clean, and stayed nice and cold. Staff was very friendly and the view of the lake was beautiful.

Location next to the lake is not bad, however it's next to a cross road and keeps you awake at night. The lobby is descent, restaurant and bar look good. The room however smelled really terrible and it's unbelievable the hotel hasn't done anything about it, as it is just horrible and when I now check other reviews it is a known issue , it needs a deep clean at least and needs updating. My recommendation; AVOID!

Resort is used too liberally in this hotel’s name. The beds were comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was good but the hotel was dated and felt unclean. Housekeeping did not come each day as indicated and when they did come, towels were replaced, beds were made, and trash emptied but no other cleaning was done. All rooms had outside-facing doors. The one elevator had no air and it was very hot. Updating and thorough cleaning is needed. The pool had chipping paint, no towels even after requested and being told they were coming, cloudy water, broken steps.

The pictures on the website should be changed. They look nothing like the property and it’s very misleading and disappointing.

The staff were helpful and friendly, the heated pool was clean, and the Aqua restaurant offerings were satisfactory, however the hotel is so incredibly run down and in need of a lot of love. Rooms had no bathroom exhaust fans, no countertop next to micro/fridge, no tv streaming, workout room has broken equipment, hotel has no snack machines, the stairwell stairs are falling apart etc. We paid for the lake view at $160/night and it was not worth the price. We will find a nicer place to stay on our next trip to Guntersville.

Great place to stay for one night or more.Full free breakfast buffet.also the restraunt also serves dinner.The best thing about it was the shower water pressure .It was just so invigorating.If your going to be in Gunyersville for a few days I highly recommend this place

This hotel is a Catch 22. The way it is portrayed online versus what it actually is in real life is deceiving. Appears to be on a peaceful lakeside, granted there is a lake, but it is very much in a bustling city setting. Positives: beds, pillows, linens were comfortable and clean as well as a tidy bathroom and shower area. It's in a busy area with many options for restaurants, etc. Shower pressure was good. Pet friendly. Negatives: if you're staying on the roadside it is very loud and very close to the 5 lane road. Walls/windows are thin and anyone walking by you will hear. In Room 207 (with the exception of the beds) the furniture was disgusting. The bench to put your belongings on was stained with food, bleach, and what very much appeared to be male expulsion. Desk chair was torn and stained, furniture was rotting/chewed on along the bases. Tried to turn on the AC fan and it literally smelled like someone had peed in the unit. Turned it off instantly. Had this been a room in the $65-85 range I would have expected something more of a budget style hotel where I would look past some eye sores/uncleanliness, but at $120 I expect a clean room with space other than the bed to set my belongings. I wouldn't book again.

Love that it was right on the lake. The bar had live music and the breakfast the next morning was great!

The hotel is accommodating with a nice room. It appears to be an older hotel with rooms on the outside of the building instead of inside. It is placed at an intersection in Guntersville so you can hear the road noise when in a room facing the road.

Positive - Good breakfast, beds comfortable. Negative - Room was unclean, debris on floors, mold in tub, toilet leaking at base, dirty walls, toilet slow flushing, tv sound intermittent, room phone dirty, bar does not service tables nor provide food, cigarette butts covered parking area, outdoor security camera lines cut, many patrons stand outside of rooms smoking and drinking alcohol. Noise from road traffic very loud inside room, room door would not shut without excessive force. Front desk staff not engaging.

Overall the stay was satisfactory. But there was definitely room for improvement! Beds were very comfortable and clean. But the sitting bench and floor was not clean at all!!

Our stay was amazing , such a beautiful view & our room was nice , clean & comfy. I’ll definitely be back to stay again.

I decided to stay at the Wyndom in Guntersville because it was a few miles and minutes from the place I was to meet. It was nice and comfortable for an older hotel. They served a nice breakfast also.
