Homewood Suites by Hilton Hadley Amherst

The staff were terrible. The receptionist never says "you are welcome" or whatever, each of three times when I said thank you at the end of conversation or request. The staff also did not even try to find my lost items (mixed with towels in the swimming area - I was only one of two people who used the swimming pool that evening. They said, " oh, we have tons of towels" when i asked to see if they can find them immediately the other person brought out the towels after my departure of the pool (like five minutes), and the following morning, the other staff told me that "you might have lost somewhere else" when asking to see if they popped up. The worst thing was that the bathtub drainage did not work after taking a shower when I tried to fill up the bath tub to take a bath. It did not drain water from my shower, I asked to fix that, the frost desk person did say that the handman went to home, and either to wait until 7 am following morning or bring all my stuff to the front desk to change into another room. That was a suite I paid a lot of money for important zoom meeting at 8 following morning, I already finished all the set up... I just asked them to see if I can take a shower in some other place, they said flat "no". Even when i explained that I had a lot of things already in the refrigerator and clothing hung in the closet, they even did not offer to help me to carry my bags, I had three bags including computer bag, so I needed to move down twice to bring all the stuff down

I was extremely unhappy with the bed linens. They used a mattress cover as a blanket and a inside down bread spread as a cover. This was totally unacceptable. You couldn’t swim by the pool because the cement was so slippery. Every time you would walk, you would fall such a dangerous thing nobody ever came to clean my room between the days.

The solar panels on the rooftop impressed us. The breakfast could have used some greens for eggs, like spinach. My wife found the oatmeal gloppy. And a large orange not very tasty. We made our own coffee in the room. It was very clean, and the view out the back was great and it snowed in the morning. Convenient to Northhampton, and their Homestead Restaurant was great. So was Paul and Elizabeth's for lunch.

Love how it was nice and clean. Hated the fact that it was New Years and we e couldn’t celebrate how we wanted. Staffs were fast to knock at the door and have us quiet down when I also have kids. Also, hated the fact that I was obligated to pay more just for credit when I knew I was not going to use it in the hotel.
