強羅花扇日式旅館(Gora Hanaougi)

家族で宿泊しました。1歳の子供がいたのですが、子供用の小さな浴衣まで用意して頂き嬉しかったです^_^ 部屋はとても素敵でテラスからの眺めが最高でした。 客室露天風呂も気持ちよかったです。 小さな子供への配慮やスタッフの方の接客が素晴らしくて是非また伺いたいです。

First trip to Hakone, first stay in a ryokan. We all had a great satay. My daughter loved it so much she wanted to write the review- Hello this is the daughter speaking this hotel is probably the best hotel on earth. The people were very friendly and our attendant wantanabe was so kind. the onsen was amazing there is like a little room to dry your hair. the bed room has two beds and little mattress if you have a bigger family or if you want to try something new and a private onsen I recommend doing the private one in the morning the dinner lunch and breakfast was big but AMAZING I personally don’t like fish but I tried there fish and I went from “fish are friends not food” to only wanting fish for dinner,and I forgot to write this but when you arrive at the inn they give you a menu of like drinks and red bean mochi if you get wantanabe tell her I said hi bye-bye

Great food. Exceptional service. Although I stayed at better rooms in Kyushu with the same price, this is Tokyo area, understandable. There was one staff who replied my email in English with a quite stiff tone. It was my initial interaction with them asking about transportation so it left me with a bad image. But after I got there, all the other staff were great.

食事が私のものだけ、盛り付け、量、質に差をつけられたものが配膳され、悲しい気持ちになった。 素人でもぱっと見分かる差がある料理を提供する料理場も問題だが、それを特定の一人に毎度配膳する仲居さんが特に不快だった。 最初は、気のせい、思い過ごしと思っていたが、品数が進むにつれ、そして２日目の夕食のデザートの果物、私に提供されたものだけ、茶色く変色し、傷み始めているものだったので確信に変わりました。他の人たちのものは、きれいなもの。肉、魚も量、質に差がありました。雰囲気が悪くなると思い黙っていたが、途中から家族もその差に気づきました。後半は、なんでこんなことするのだろうと涙が出そうになりました。 このような不愉快な思いをしたので、二度と利用することはないです。ホスピタリティ、サービス、料理の味も今一つで価格に見合っていない印象。 箱根旅行はこんな思い出となり、残念でならない。

仲居さんの質の悪さにせっかくの旅行が嫌な思い出になりました。 家族で利用。毎食、私の食事だけ、盛り付けがいまいち、量が少ない、食材の質もよくないものが配膳されました。 最初は、偶然？気のせい？と思っていましたが、毎度運ばれる食事を見ていたら、こんなに続けて私だけ？と思い、2日目の夜のデザートが私のものだけ茶色に変色し、傷んでいるのが一目瞭然の果物であり、これは意図的なものと確信しました。雰囲気が悪くなるので、家族には黙っていましたが、食事の回を重ね、家族もみな気づいたので、私の思い過ごしではありません。 例えば牛肉も、私のだけ2/3の量、さらにそのうち2/3が白い脂身。胃もたれして夜中に気持ち悪くなりました。 盛り付けや使う食材、量に素人がパッと見てもわかるほどに差をつける料理場も料理場だと思いますが、それを各人に配膳する仲居さんも、それならそれぞれにまんべんなく順繰りにしてくれるならまだしも、毎度毎度私の前にだけ、残念なものが持ってこられ、非常に悲しい気持ちになり、涙が出そうになりました。 こういう人として質が悪い仲居さんがいる宿ということで、旅の思い出も暗澹たるものとなりましたし、もう二度と利用はしません。 他のスタッフも、感じが良いとか気が利くとか、そういった雰囲気はありませんでした。

The ryokan provides complimentary pick-up at the Gora Train Station. At the check-in process you are offered a snack and drink and the same person who did the registration will also serve you your meals and essentially be assigned to you throughout your stay. Our room had a Western style bed, with an indoor onsen and attached shower. After a busy time in Tokyo this was a peaceful, relaxing, experience. There was a separate deluxe toilet area, and the bathroom included numerous toiletries. A mini bar had complimentary water, juice, beer and in the room had an electric teapot, coffee maker, and air purifier. Our room #203, had a view of the mountains and ocean in the distance. The lighting was very good, wi-fi was great and there were lots of plugs. A traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner was included in the rate which was served in your own private dining room. The meal service was excellent, each dish was creative, beautifully presented, and served on unique plates . The staff was extremely kind and helpful with maps and directions to do the Hakone loop independently. The hotel has a private elevator to the Sauzan Station Ropeway and Cable car station to make an easy start of your adventure.

This is Japanese hospitality at its finest - without breaking the bank *too* much. I stayed here 2 nights in a terrace type room. Getting to Hakone is a bit tricky, but I would say it's all worth it in the end. This is the place for ultimate relaxation. It is more on the pricier side, but keep in mind of what you're paying for - a large spacious room with your own private hot spring bath, exceptional service, complimentary locally brewed beer, coffee, tea, juice, water, snacks in room, and 2 full meals a day (breakfast and dinner) in your semi-private dining room. Essentially, the dining room is a large space with smaller rooms inside. The walls are not fully enclosed ceiling to floor, but they are high enough that I was unable to see other guests. while standing or sitting. Each of these smaller rooms also have a sliding door. Please note when I emphasize FULL meals. This is not your average 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 dessert kind of deal. They are full on traditional Japanese breakfast and kaiseki for dinner. After these meals, we were always stuffed (sometimes I could barely finish them). The food was delicious and the variety was appreciated. Since we stayed two nights, we noticed that they specially changed the menu for us on the 2nd evening so that we would not have to eat the same menu (which honestly I really would not have minded because it was so good!). Our breakfast menu also changed every day as well. The food was full of flavor, and they always used local ingredients and what was in season. I am typically a picky eater, but was eager to try everything! Minami was our primary host during our stay. She was always there to greet us for our meals, helped us arrange transportation, saw us off when we explored the city in the afternoon, and basically helped us with anything we needed. Most of the staff spoke some English and it was enough for us to communicate. We also made a same day reservation for shiatsu massages in our room. We were worried about availability, but they were able to easily accommodate us. Overall, I would highly recommend this onsen if you are considering one in Hakone. Initially, I was a bit skeptical since there were not any recent reviews, but I hope my wonderful experience will ease any concerns.

客室露天風呂からの眺めが最高に綺麗でリフレッシュできました。スタッフのみなさんの対応も丁寧で気持ちよかったです。
