山邊旅館(Mountain Side Hakuba)

There's no shortage of accommodation at Hukuba. However you will struggle to find any as new, modern, and luxurious as Mountain Side. The apartment was huge, comfortable heating/cooling, great Wifi, and well equipped. I was even impressed with the TV having Apple TV functionality so I can stream tv/movies from my apple devices. The view is amazing, you felt like you were in a secluded mountain resort! The staff were very friendly, spoke good English, and always happy to accommodate our needs, including dropping us off into the town or one of the ski lifts. There is a dry room on the bottom floor for all of our ski gear. If you're planning on going up Happo-One, there is a chair lift literally across the road. We used Rhythm Ski Hire which is a 5min walk away to rent our gear. For a door-to-ski accommodation, this is bang on. Unfortunately, as we travelled for Spring Skiing, almost everyone was shut for the season, including most restaurants (in and around Mountain Side) and shuttle services. We struggled to find restaurants walking distance away, having to resort to catching a taxi to/from the accommodation to eat at night. The Happo-One chair lift opposite the accommodation was also done for the season, with the only option to be dropped off at the Happo-One Gondola or Hakuba 47 Gondola and then catching a taxi back. I'd recommend hiring a car if you plan on visiting outside of the winter season. Saying all that, I would definitely be back, now knowing we'd need to be better prepared for the limited services around Mountain Side.

This was a repeat visit for us to Mountainside and as before, we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and well appointed apartment. Their customer engagement was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. I had queries which were swiftly looked into (like below). Any other queries related to itinerary, restaurant recommendations and bookings, the team were very knowledgeable and efficient in helping us - great experience! One area we hope their online payment service provider (Flywire) can improve on is to allow for more flexibility in accepting JPY from international clients who have multi-currency wallets or accounts... instead of hardcoding payment currency to my domicile currency and necessitating a FX when I had JPY funds to begin with.

Love this apartment. Best location. Fabulous furnishings and very comfortable. Staff, she is very helpful. My family trip in Japan totally 7 days, from Tokyo to Hakuba, this apartment is the best and worth. Looking forward to going back.

Great amenities and fantastic service! Booked this for a family of five. The views are unforgettable and the apartment very comfortable, with a spacious common area. Best of all were the helpful staff who recommended delicious restaurants and shuttled us around town. Highly recommended.

年末年始の休みに娘家族（ティーンエイジャーの孫2名含む）で泊まりました。スキー場リフトも近く（20mあるかないか）、お昼を部屋に帰って食べたり、とてもゆったりとした環境で最高のお休みになりました。各部屋にバスルーム（One Full, 残りはHalf）があり、その面からも満足です。従業員の方々も日本流おもてなしスタイルが完璧でした。特に家族旅行を計画されているグループやある程度の人数のグループには本当におすすめです。入居者の数が少ないので乾燥室も混雑がなく、ゆったり気分でした。

リビングの窓が大きく木々の緑がいっぱいに広がっています。お盆に行われる白馬の花火大会も目の前でよく見えました。お部屋も広く、設備も含めて快適でした。またホテル・レストランともにこちらの要望に細かく対応いただき白馬を満喫することができました。

家族で別荘のような滞在ができました。ゲレンデは目の前で歩いて行けますので、駐車場の心配はなし。スキー板を保管したり着替えたりする部屋が一階にありますので、ブーツの履き替えも楽々。さらにそこでは、レンタルスキー板の返却も出来ますので、返却のためにお店に行く必要がありません。いつでも快適にスキーに行けて、いつでも快適に休める部屋、素晴らしい時間を家族で過ごすことが出来ました。ありがとうございます。 キッチングッズは、必要なものは全て揃っていてオーブンも十分な性能。スタッフも親切で、とても心地良く過ごせました。あえて言うなら、ベッドが少し硬め。家族の中にはちょうど良いという人もいますので、個人的な感想です。

別荘感覚で過ごせるホテルを探していましたが、自分達の求めていた理想のホテルに出会うことが出来きました。 広くて綺麗な部屋は快適でしたし、調理器具や食器もセンスのいいものが揃っていて、とてもオシャレです。 リビングは一面ガラスでとても明るく天気が良ければ目の前に白馬の山々を見ながら食事をしたりソファーでのんびり過ごせます。 コンシェルジュの方も親切で丁寧に対応していただきました。 あまりの快適さにどうしてももう一泊したくなって延長してしまいました。 本当にステキなホテルでしたが、2人で3泊したので宿泊代もそれなりにかかってしまいました。 もう少しお手軽な値段で利用出来たらうれしいのですが…。 でも本当に気に入ったので、またぜひリピートしたいと思います。 別荘感覚で過ごしたい方には絶対お勧めです！

The staff at Mountainside really made us feel like at home. The consistency of care was more like on call concierge whenever required. The only question is when we will return not if. The features of the rooms include wall heating , floor heating and air conditioning. Picture windows capture the view of (one of the many ski resorts your passes allow) ski resorts which is breath taking.
