漢諾威北城區廣場旅館(Plaza Inn Hannover City Nord)

This should not be listed as a hotel - this is a room for rent. It was missing many bare essentials that have been standard in hotels for decades and the service was absolutely horrible. None of rooms had necessities like clocks, phones, hand towels, or tissues. Refrigerators nor safes were available, which is extra relevant saying the doors are about as thick and robust as an old pizza box. Despite having a "Queen bed" (it was two twins pushed together), we were provided with a single pillow and a twin sized duvet. If you're on the east side of the building, its so loud it feels like you're sleeping on the road - in general, you can hear everything happening in every other room in the building, loud or quiet. I could hear one of my colleagues unzip his luggage and he was one floor up on the far corner of the building. They are still not cleaning rooms during stays (or restocking towels might I add), in an effort to "reduce contact for COVID" and yet not a single employee or fellow guest was wearing a mask or taking any other precaution. Each night we had to go down to the front desk to ask for new towels (again, no phone in the room so you can't call them) and 3 out of 4 nights, they either entirely forgot to bring them or only provided them once we had asked 2-3 more times. The staff's professionalism is outshone by high-school volunteers. Lazy and incompetent are the only words that come to mind. I cannot stress this enough - DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!

Too hot (no fan no airconditioner) and too loud with the windows open. The bathroom looked terrible. Although the rates are cheap, it is still overpriced. The people where friendly though.

A really wonderful stay with one exception only! Positives first: beautiful hotel room, excellently connected to HBF and Kröpcke, easy to get anywhere. Big, clean room, comfortable, strong shower, was a pleasure to come home to each night after long days (highly recommend the new Ghanaian restaurant just down the road too). The hotel made a mistake regarding the inclusive breakfast from the booking deal - whilst the fellow on the first morning was happy to remedy this fixture, I was a little taken aback by the fellow on the third morning who didn’t receive the memo; and proceeded to blame and accuse me whilst I sat at breakfast for taking advantage, stealing from them, or whatever it was - whilst he apologised later once he found the mistake, I didn’t appreciate being made to feel accused of whatever it was that annoyed him. Making your customers feel like thieves as they enjoy breakfast not really the greatest way to start the day, especially as I wasn’t arguing and offered to pay the cost of the breakfast if he felt that strongly about it? Not impressed with that aspect - check your contract next time please

Great value. Parking on site, right next to a tram stop for easy public transit access. Room was clean and more than what I expected for the price.
