漢普郡中庭酒店及 Spa(Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa)

My family had a great time in Hampshire Court Hotel and Spa. The reception staff were excellent and super friendly. I could not thank them enough for moving us to a bigger room as I made a mistake of booking a smaller room for me, my husband and daughter. The room that we were moved into had a large balcony, nespresso machine, drinks on the house and comfortable bed The location is perfect and superb. It’s a 4 minute walk to a shopping centre and 5 minute walk and 10 minute drive to Festival mall. You’ll definitely won’t run out of options on what to eat. But most importantly, there are so many interesting place to visit nearby like The Vyne National Trust and Basingstoke Aquadrome to name a few The facilities such as swimming pool and spa facilities were clean, well maintained provide excellent service. Overall, we enjoyed our 2 night stay for a very reasonable price!

Staff were a little grumpy and room was a little old; carpet could have done with replacing. My room backed onto behind the building where apparently staff hung out or smoked, I heard a lot of loud conversations that I probably shouldn’t! Beds were comfy and they were fine with me bringing my cat, which was the main reason I chose it. Not terrible, not wonderful, did the job.

Overall disappointing. Check in we were asked to pay even though we had already done do. Room was a disabled twin and not the standard double asked for. Swimming pool in need of care and cleaning. There were damaged areas covered with chair and a dirty greasy tide mark all around the pool. The drinks in the bar were extremely overpriced eg £8 for a single shot of spirit. We ordered a drink at 10.10pm and were told it would be our only drink as they were closing even though the bar was meant to be open to 11pm When we eventually got the drinks the lemonade and coke was flat. It took another 15 minutes to get these replaced Breakfast was okay.

Was booked in for 3 nights but patio door wouldn’t close with no heating in room. Was told I had to pay extra if I wanted to move rooms so checked out after one night. On checking my credit card statement they have charged me for the full 3 nights and will not return my calls or messages

Sat nave takes you to the back of the hotel - So follow signs on roundabout at the last 1500 yards rather than sat nav It's a nice clean modern hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The service in the bar and restaurant was a bit chaotic, still seems to be recovering from Covid. The young staff seemed to need a bit more leadership and support to get them operating effectively and some of the logistics seemed crazy eg carrying food from the kitchen to the bar - about 200 yards! and not being able to find ice.

Appalling - should be 1 star hotel. Mould and bacterica built up on and around bar Carpets disgusting Holes in ceiling Wall paper hanging off Dirty windows Dirty tables Un cooked food No draught lager or ale Fridges empty & smashed See pictures i feel of environmental health went in they would shut them dowm

On all 3 mornings, hot breakfast food was not fully stocked, waiting time to be seated was 10 minutes, quality of cooked food was poor. USB socket in room didn’t work, when I told reception, no offer was made to fix it - I had to spend the morning finding a shop with a USB plug as I was phone-less and watch less due to not being able to charge them! Taxis are a joke! It would have been nice to be told to pre-book taxis. I had a 1.5hiur wait time for a taxi and in the end decided to make the 45 minute walk to my destination. On arrival, information overload about Everything!! After a long drive I want to check in, get to my room and have a shower - try putting a guest information pack in the room, one presented in an easy to read format rather than the A4 piece of paper that I’m sure no one reads. Staff were not particularly friendly / warming. And forgot a late lie in as the cleaning staff are not particularly quiet in the mornings. I was looking forward to my stay and have to say I was massively disappointed.
