橡樹賓館(Oak Tree Inn)

Rooms, staff and food are excellent. The only negative was the lack of choice on the menus. What was on there was very delicious. Would have liked the choice at breakfast of perhaps yoghurts, fruit salad or pastries as well as the full Yorkshire.

4 of us had lunch here, ate off the lunch menu, absolutely fantastic. 2 courses £16.95, 3 for £18.95. Very good sized portions, all in all 10/10 and we will be back.

This was a 50 wedding Anniversary and it was amazing the staff and chef bent over backwards to make sure everything and everyone was happy the food was amazing the place its self is very clean and tidy bed rooms all you could ask for ,recommend this place in a heart beat ,thank you joules and gang

called in lunchtime sunday, place was almost empty. just wanted a drink, large sauvignon blanc, pint of Theakston, packet of crisps & small salted peanuts. Only had two types of crisps & only four packets, only had one peanuts. That was bad enough but charged £18.75 which I questioned, & was informed the wine was £10.90 Sat down, started to look closely at the surroundings, the place needs a thorough clean & some fresh decorating. I will not return, & we used to use this pub prior to lockdown quite a lot. Just check the charges if you go, but I cannot recommend

A lovely warm welcome from staff to a very comfortable night's stay this small hotel is a gem of a place.We booked in for Sunday to Monday and had a beautiful Sunday lunch in the restaurant. The food was very tasty and plentiful with great service and fabulous white wine called Ana (sauvignon blanc). Breakfast was also very good. Bed very comfortable and room and facilities very good. We will definitely be back later in the year.

Went with friends for lunch, they have visited numerous times, for us our second visit. We secured a large table near the entrance and we’re welcomed by a pleasant waiter who took our drinks order. We ordered our food from a waitress, who came straight back and said the focaccia was off the menu, and then again, minutes later saying the alternative ordered anchovies was also off. The explanations from the waitress were robotic and indicated a certain lack of planning in the kitchen. We eventually ordered the sausage roll with black pudding to share between two, and breaded whitebait, not on the menu, again shared. For mains we ordered 3 fish chips and mushy peas, and 1 sea bass won’t samphire. After a short wait the starters arrived , both were tasty and well presented. The minute we finished our sausage roll, one sea bass and one fish and chips arrived, before our starter plates had been removed. Our friends were still finishing their starters when there mains arrived !! The waitress said it was because we had ordered starters from the whilst you wait section of the menu !! A more accurate answer would have been poor organisation and communication between the serving staff and the kitchen staff. The food was quite good apart from the chunky chips and the lack of samphire with the sea bass. We spoke with the manager before paying the bill and she apologised and reduced the bill by £20. We appreciated the gesture, however, it took the enjoyment out of what should’ve been a pleasant lunch with friends, not fast food !! Last time we were there highly recommended, this time not so much.

I never write reviews, but the oak tree inn deserves a five star one. The service received from all the staff throughout our stay was exceptional, they were all so friendly and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble and they treated our dog like a king! We forgot to bring any food for him and the chef even cooked him up his own pork dinner!! All our food was delicious, steak and chips cooked to perfection. Beautiful breakfast. The room immaculate and bed so comfy. Cannot fault anything and cannot wait to stay again.

Lovely Inn. Lovely atmosphere and the young crew of staff a credit to the management team. Special mention to George who served us an early pot of tea as we came down for breakfast 30mins early!! Top marks for George The Yorkshire Breakfast was amazing :)

Excellent food and exceptional service. We visited with our 8 week old baby and young dog and nothing was too much trouble to help us to enjoy our visit. We ate in the bar area which had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We would highly recommend this pub
