布多克維恩酒店(Budock Vean Hotel)

Wir waren für 5 Nächte im Budock Vean und Cornwall. Das Hotel ist sehr klassisch und unser Zimmer war bereits modernisiert hinsichtlich Bad und Renovierungszustand. Das die Dielen knarren, die Fenster mal wieder geputzt werden sollten und der Charme vergangener Jahre über die Flure schwebt, muss einem Gast bewusst sein. Beim Indoorpool handelt es sich eher um ein Schwimmbad mit 15-Meterbahn. Die gesamt Anlage selbst ist sehr sauber, hat einen schönen Park, eigenen Zugang zur Helfordpassage und 9-Loch-Golfplatz inklusive. Beim Frühstück und Abendessen möchte man einen hohen Standard darstellen, der aber nicht gerechtfertigt ist. Die angepriesenen Brötchen sind Aufbackbrötchen vom Vorabend und abgezählt. Beim Abendessen wird auf Jacket beim Herren hingewiesen (bzw. ist erwünscht), die Flasche Rotwein bekommt man ungeöffnet (zum Glück Schraubverschluss) auf den Tisch gestellt und muss sich selbst kümmern. Das Zielpublikum ist 65+ und dem gefällt es. Insofern kein Vorwurf ans Management. Alles in allem aber freundliche Mitarbeiter und eine sehr schöne Landschaft.

We had a very happy two days at the hotel. The room was very clean and welcoming to the two of us and to our two dogs. The staff were friendly and in particular they were friendly to well behaved dogs, who were able to have excellent local walks in the woods that belong to the hotel. We had two evening meals and two breakfast meals. All the food was excellent. well prepared and served by very friendly staff. The rack of lamb was particularly well prepared and cooked to perfection.

Everything was very good, especially the well-trained and motivated staff. I would single out Mo in the restaurant who managed my strange diet with no problems. Pricing was acceptable, facilities in the Signature bedrooms and suites were good. If I was looking to identify shortcomings it would be that the ground floor gents was out-of-service temporarily and one of the EV chargers has never worked, but in both cases there were satisfactory alternatives. Have stayed there 4 times and will definately return.

Just had an amazing massage, from the wonderful Lucy, feel very good now. Her approach was warm and professional. I was surprised how strong her massage was, considering she is petite. The setting is very relaxing and staff attentive without being intrusive, can’t wait to go again.

Another perfect visit to this family favourite. We were blessed with a week of good weather but what really made the visit, as ever, was the staff: always attentive, professional, caring and friendly. A highlight this time was a boat trip with Roger. Thank you to all involved!

Lovely staff, worked hard. Didn't appreciate noise, even on top floor, from chairs and tables being dragged across wooden floors on the ground floor, making peace unattainable, mornings, and evenings till around 10.30pm... good facilities, but guest accommodation poor. No lift, leaks in roof...say no more...enough said.

My hideaway to celebrate my 69 yrs young birthday was absolutely wonderful and blissful. I arrived early to use the leisure facilities which was no problem. The staff greeting was warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I was helped with my luggage to my Signature room over looking the gardens and golf course which was wonderful. Each morning a walk down through the gardens to the Halford Passage was delightful and enjoyable. The remaining period of the day was the use of the remaining leisure facilities in the Spa and also the Body massage was rewarding, felt like a new person.(sure will have this treatment next time again) My 3 days stay was beautiful relaxing and absolutely wonderful and I thank all the staff for their support. The meals were outstanding, not 4 star but 5 stars+.The restaurant staff very caring friendly and supportive and even the birthday song was a surprise and fun. Thanks, I try now days not to remember my birthdays except when I’m at Budock Vean Hotel.

The room was great with a great view of the golf course and valley, a lovely walk down to the beach, must be lovely in the summer, the staff very friendly and helpful the food was amazing. And the birthday card for my partner was a lovely touch, thank you.

A wonderfully relaxing stay. Very friendly & helpful staff made me feel very comfortable. My room was superb, comfortable bed, wonderfully furnished and very clean. The views over the grounds were spectacular. The pool was nice as we're the hot tub and sauna if a little busy at times. The evening dinner menu was good and the food was fabulous!
