It's so great that these independently run small hotels can survive, and in this case thrive. It must be due to the friendly service, immaculate rooms, and very comfortable accommodations. We were lucky to have snagged one of the last rooms at 7p in the height of the summer busy season. So glad we found it just outside of Munising.

Our room was quiet and clean and the price was very reasonable. Very nice hot breakfast and the gentleman at the front desk was extremely personable and genuinely wanted his guests to have a great stay. The North Star is 5 star with us! Definitely will recommend the North Star to any family members or friends who will be visiting Munising.

Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Desk service was excellent. Someone was always there and very personable. Hot breakfast on a Wednesday morning was a wonderful treat. Close to everything in Munising. We would definitely stay here again.

Checked in very late. They called to make sure we were on our way. Very accommodating. Bed was comfortable. Room clean and stocked. Great parking for UTV. And the hot tub was very nice after a full day of riding. Nice continental breakfast. Well done North Star.

Clean, nice size rooms, and biggest freezer on the fridge for our cold packs. Comfy bed, nice recliner in room and decent breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good location for us. Definitely a good stop. Don't hesitate to book it!!!

Great hotel with the friendliest, most accommodating staff. Always clean, great continental breakfast. Hotel is close to snowmobile trials and many popular attractions in munising. We have been coming here for 5+ years and never been disappointed.
