那文旅館(New Inn Hotel)

Lovely room above a pub local pub with fab food. Booked a basic room but got upgraded to deluxe room. Will return

We stayed two nights and love this hotel. The food at the restaurant was really good! イギリスの典型的古いホテルで、そういうのがお好きな方にはぴったりです。部屋のタイプは色々ありそうでしたが狭いツインを選択しました。快適で、テレビもWi-Fiもケトルもありました。バスタブは無かったけどお湯はたっぷり出たし水圧も満足できる強さでした。 ホテルのレストランはパブエリアとダイニングエリアに分かれていて、パブは地元のおじさん達で賑やか、その奥では静かにご飯が食べられました。そして味もとても良かったです。 ホテルの裏にテムズ川が流れていて散歩しながら白鳥を眺めて、素敵な時間を過ごしました。

First of all, all the staff we encountered at The New Inn were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I just can't offer a positive review over all. After a fairly standard check we were put in a room in the annex, and immediately found a large puddle of water on the bathroom floor. It's been incredibly wet recently and it's an old building, so not exactly unexpected. It was reported to reception and quickly cleared up. Unfortunately a couple of hours later we discovered another leak pouring water down the bedroom wall. At this point enough was enough and we asked to move rooms. We were quickly and without fuss moved to a courtyard room. Unfortunately this room wasn't great. The bathroom was filthy, literally like an old barn (that I think it actually is). The bathroom door also didn't close. The whole room slept like an old caravan, very musty and damp. The road in and out of the carpark passes right by the doors to the courtyard rooms, so we were woken early morning to vehicles idling just a few feet from the bed. We ate in the restaurant the evening of our stay. The food is fine, it's £15 a main pub grub - you know what to expect. It would have been nice to have had a round of drinks or a few pounds off the bill, considering the difficulties with the room, but nothing was forthcoming. So we probably didn't see The New Inn at it's best, but I cannot in all honesty recommend it, nor would I book again.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. Although we were given the choice of many rooms unfortunately I would not stay in any of them. As we arrived early and had only booked the room an hour before we arrived we requested a refund. We were denied a refund from the hotel and from ********** who state that they do state the hotels are fit for purpose. We even paid for Breakfast and could not get a refund for any of it. We always used ********** but will now look elsewhere for business travel.

£95 for one night is extortion, we stayed in the multi occupancy part of the accommodation which has a flimsy door to the entrance and the room unlike the accommodations located alongside the premises who have a lovely modern design. Our room carpet looked unclean and well worn the room was freezing cold and we were given a fan heater which you couldn’t have kept turned on as it had a short. Asking for an iron, I was told which room it was in and had to take it out the room myself and carry both the iron and ironing board down a flight of stairs! The customer service wasn’t great either, the bar/reception was miserable not a smile or welcome to the accommodation. For a cooked breakfast it’s £14.99 which is very pricey in my opinion! To park your car in the evening after the pub has closed will need to be done on the main road because they baracade the entrance of the car park with a gate (which wasn’t explained on arrival) For the money we paid for the quality and standard of the room for one night was a joke. I will not be recommending The New Inn Hotel

Checked in, saw room, checked out!! Bitterly disappointed, room was tatty, dated and desperately in need of redecoration. Light fitting hanging off wall, paint peeling, wallpaper peeling, toilet seat chipped and worn, furniture very old and dated, phone something out of the 80's (shabby chic - who knows?), kettle well worn with some water left in it from who knows when. This was a 60th birthday treat and turned into a nightmare. When we said we weren't staying and why, nothing, no apology, no refund offered, nothing.

Rooms could do with a refresh. Bathrooms are dated. Instant coffee option is a pet hate and my room had limited natural light.

We spent a lovely evening in the restaurant (great food), and warm cosy bar. Lovely friendly staff. Clean comfy warm room. All very nice and value for money. Free parking at back of hotel. Lechlade is a lovely little town. The New Inn is the best pub in the town.
