After two nights in the Roseland Corp Hotel I just don’t know where to start describing this horrible experience as everything - the service, the rooms, the prices - was just so, so bad. So I just start at the beginning: We arrived on a Thursday. Arranging a pick-up from the airport was surprisingly complicated, it took several mails with the service manager for no reason but in the end there was a quite unfriendly driver waiting for us at the gate. They charged us 750.000 Dong which is way above the common taxi-rate (150.000 Dong). When we arrived at the hotel they charged my credit card for the room - twice. As the woman at the front desk didn’t understand English that well, it was quite complicated to convince her of her mistake and get the money back. The Roseland Corp hotel has an impressive entrance area. It’s nice, really. But unfortunately this doesn’t translate to the rooms. They are terrible, probably furnished in the 80s and not renewed since. They have whirlpool bathtubs made of plastic, lots of wood in the room, curtains that haven’t been washed for ages, and you can hear everything that is going on outside of your room. The first room we got smelled like cold cigarette smoke. I complained and they upgraded us to a bigger room (after we looked at a series of rooms, one of them still in use by a paying guest). But even the upgraded room was by far worse then everything we have seen in Vietnam. I wanted to cancel the whole reservation but they wouldn’t let us go. Instead they promised us the best room of the hotel the next day and we stayed. The first night was terrible. The bed had a very, very old and thus noisy spring mattress. The slightest movement made a noise. The walls and curtains had stains all over it. There’s no constant hot water, I had a cold shower in the morning. Shower and toilet happened to make weird unexpected noises. The best room in the hotel was basically the same as before but with a better view and a less noisy mattress. At this point I was ready to drink on that but unfortunately all the mini bar contained was two bottles of water. Breakfast was…well, let’s not talk about it. All of this would have been okay somehow if this hotel wasn’t so pricey. It’s like paying for a filet mignon and getting McDonalds Cheesburger. When we checked out the woman at the front desk (the same who messed up the payment) kindly asked us to sit and wait in the entrance area so she can check if everything is okay. We waited five, ten, fifteen minutes and nothing happened. When we asked her if everything was okay, she was surprised to see that we are still there. Yes, everything okay, she said. I can’t say the same. P.S.: Neil, the doorman, was the only exception to this experience. You are great, man! Please find a new employer.

我在這裏住了6個月,進行了一個半長期的租賃。費用不高,但事實上,所有的費用都全部包括在內,這裏沒有隱藏的需要為費無線網絡連接,電,健身房,遊泳池,傭人等而額外支付的費用,因此,實際上,這裡是物超所值的。酒店的位置非常適合來西貢出差的客人入住,工作人員很友好,也許是在西貢最專業的服務人員,房間很寬敞,經過了精心的設計,感覺很舒適。我對此並沒有感到驚訝,這個地方已經贏得了如此多的商業獎盃。意大利餐廳-羅勒葉餐廳-對於吃商務午餐或咖啡進行會晤的朋友也很合適,價格非常合理,還有美味的食物。

總體而言非常滿意！酒店的位置非常好，在西貢歷史街區與現代化中心商務區交界的地方。和聖母大教堂、中央郵局衹隔了一個小街區，中間有條短短的book street連通。離西貢碼頭也不太遠（1公裏左右），從酒店旁邊的路一直朝西貢河的方向走就行。隔一個街區，一路有胡志明歌劇院、市政廳等歷史建築。周邊餐飲也很多，酒店所在的商場裏有幾家餐廳。附近歷史街區裏有不少本地餐廳、酒吧、咖啡館。房間總體是滿意的，從衛生間的設施看得出酒店有點舊了，但維護得很好。床和枕頭都很好用。游泳池和健身房很棒，用的人還很少。酒店的服務非常殷勤禮貌，甚至有點太多了，有時會感到被打擾到了。房間裏放了至少4瓶水，每天客房服務還會來問一次要不要加水。期間我也接到過一次電話訪問，需不需要什麼服務。我同事的房間，每天都會有一個人去問迷你吧的零食需不需要增補、並且做一次點數…… 早餐很豐富。但不知道為什麼，早餐餐廳服務員的英語幾乎都有很重的口音，我和同事（長期使用英語的法國人）都有同感。

출장을 자주 가는 호치민이라 10여군데 호텔 다닌 결과 출장으로는 적합한 호텔이라고 생각합니다. 1.가격이 합리적이고,1군 이가격대 다른호텔에 비해 조식이 괜찬은 편입니다. 2.밤에 주위가 조용해서 숙면하기가 좋습니다. 3.베트남 전국 체인망 호텔이라 청결하고 영어를 할수있는 직원이 많아서 의사 소통에 문제없습니다. 4.피트니스가 적으나 간단한 운동하는데 지장멊어요 5.방 사이즈는 적은편이고 와이파이 잘 터져요 6.바로 앞 서머셋호텔이 있는데 그곳 1층 커피샾이 유명한 체인점 아주 맛있어요 7.1군 시내까지 걸어가는데 15분 걸리고 택시타면 5분 3만동나옵니다. 8.호치민 관광 코스인 중앙 우체국 바로 뒤에 있습니다.

我們在2臥室公寓住了4晚,非常寬敞,傢俱很舊,但一切都功能齊全,微波爐,廚房,洗衣機,冰箱都非常有用。起初我們擔心我們預訂的一些旅遊可能不會從這家酒店接,因爲它的位置與大多數酒店略有不同,但我們錯了。所有的旅遊都從這家酒店接起,最重要的是所有的出租車司機都知道這家酒店。這實際上是美國和法國領事館之間的一個高級位置。底層有一個迷你超市,附近還有幾家雜貨店。所以即使酒店不提供早餐,但根本不是問題。對於印度素食者來說,附近有一個不錯的餐廳Makhan Bhog。還有幾隻素食主義者(古吉拉特邦印第安人)和素食主義者(素食西貢)餐廳也提供。我們通過grab訂購了幾次晚餐,在35到40分鐘內交付。我的兒子喜歡在遊戲室玩,在游泳池裏游泳。然而,電視沒有任何英語頻道。這是他們可以改進的東西。但再次,它並不重要,因爲我們幾乎沒有時間看電視。
