Best Western Plus Ft Lauderdale Hollywood Airport Hotel

Got their checked in elevators never work got to the room was no fridge no coffee cup to make the coffee plus it had insect infestation not a good look looking to get back some of my money from spending two days walking 10 flights of stairs up and down every time I needed something no ice only on the ground floor. Wow..

Faulty elevator. Bed sheets and towels are looks like a rag, doesn’t look like white anymore. Phone is not working. Reception is not helpful enough. No water for the coffee. Noisy aircon. That’s all.

Thought the hotel was in need of updating. Four out of five exercise machines were not operating. Beds were soft. Palm tree banged on our window all night. TV was not user-friendly. Breakfast selection, especially fruit, was very poor. One day there were five bananas never saw another banana. One day there were two oranges, never saw another orange. We have stayed at other Best Western plus hotels that were excellent. Unfortunately, this was not one of them.

Hughes at the front desk was very disrespectful and rude. I would stay there again but not of I have to deal with him again. Unprofessional at its finest, first he was in his car when we pulled up not even asked if we were ok getting to the room ( someone had check in early). Second time I want to buy something to drink and I walked around for a good 6-7 minutes before he got up out the car and came in side to assist smelling like ****. His tone was rude because I had interrupted his session for only two bottles of water. I also explained to him I had my cousin put money down as deposit but I was told to retrieve the money and put my card on file. He refused to do it even after I told him my flight leaves at 10 because he informed me I could get it back at 11. To make matters worse he took the key home that they use to open the safe, Bianca was will to assist but Hughes lied to her about he will be there in 10 minutes, again I had a flight to catch for 10 or was now 8:20.

The staff during the day was rude and charged us 2 dollars for a drink went to buy a drink later that night and night staff told us they were only $1 the elevator wouldn’t go down from our floor so we had to keep taking the stairs till the night staff finally reset it. We of course got there early for check in due to getting off the cruise was told we couldn’t check in (no big deal) I asked if there was somewhere we could leave our bags so we could take the kids to do something and she said no so we sat in lobby with 4 kids for 6 hours that’s never happened to me at any hotel ever so I was pretty disappointed we won’t book there again if we do another cruise in this area

The room (313) had a very bad smell coming from the air conditioner. It smelled like urine when the air conditioner was running
