伍利農莊奢華家庭旅館(Woolley Grange - A Luxury Family Hotel)

Unimpressed unfortunately - maybe just bad luck but we paid 5 star prices (albeit a last minute booking but still) and the service, room and food were definitely 3 star. It bills itself as a luxury hotel. Staff were friendly but service was pretty slow and disorganised. Food is fine, nothing exciting and the same menu every evening - steak and chips, that sort of thing. Pool was fun and the kids enjoyed the trampoline too. Library and kids club is a nice touch. We’re left with a sour taste after paying so much - the experience just didn’t add up for us.

Beautiful place, traditional English hotel. Nice gardens and restaurant. Best Panna Cotta ever. Stayed with my husband as a treat. Staff are very polite and attentive. Hotel also has a nice spa with outdoor and indoor pool. Breakfast was included.

Beautiful and exceptionally friendly hotel. Thoroughly recommend. Excellent for families and respite for adults with the creche or kids club. My husband and I deliberately went in term time so only a couple of babies and very quiet. Love, love, loved it!

Stayed for three nights with my wife, son & daughter in law & 16 month old granddaughter. Lovely hotel with very comfortable rooms. Specialises in Catering for families with young children, but also offers comfort and dining for the more mature visitor. Plenty of things to keep the little ones busy. Hoping to return again next year.

We went to Woolley Grange hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room we had was brilliant and we were overwhelmed by having a Jack and Jill sink (first time ever certainly brought a smile to our faces). The food was exceptional both evening meals and the breakfast. But what our shone it all was the staff. They couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable and stress free. Anna and Daniel met us at reception and were always so helpful. We had wonderfully staff on the dining room and the gardening team were never too busy to explain the gardens. It was also impressive to see the way children were cared for by the staff. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard. No complaints whatsoever. We will definitely come again.

I really don’t understand any of the negative reviews for this place, we had an amazing experience, a real hidden gem in Wiltshire. Firstly, the staff are amazing. So so friendly and helpful, ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude. Lisa greeted us at check in, Emma and her colleagues at dinner and breakfast, Liam at lunch and (I’m so sorry I didn’t get their names) the lovely spa staff , especially the masseuse who rearranged my nail appoin**ent so that I had a free afternoon- very grateful. The ground are extensive and beautifully maintained, with lots of hidden nooks, a lovely English country garden feel and allo**ents for home grown food. Indoor and outdoor pools. Ducks and chickens wander round and all rooms are full of character and history. Our bathroom was huge and had the deepest stand alone bath, loved the spiral staircase and original beams. The food was lovely especially breakfast. We are a couple and I am not particularly child-friendly, but the family friendly ethos of this place was thoughtfully done and so both couples and families work well. They love dogs and the area is perfect, countryside vistas as far as the eye can see. We’ll be back with our pooch soon. Thank you to the whole team, especially the hidden lovelies such as the kitchen staff and groundsmen!

A one night stay with my little 21 month old, and the perfect place to come. The weather was beautiful so we spent time around and in the outdoor pool. The staff were ALL amazing and couldn’t do more for you. They knew my little boy by name as soon as we checked in - a lovely touch that yoy don’t need to think of a thing. They’ve got it all covered, from providing water beakers, to silicone bibs, to reserving your breakfast table in your child’s name, to milk and cookies at cinema club. The chalk tree was a highlight, and following the ducks around the walled garden. We can’t wait to return, and try out the rest of the hotels within the group. Thank you all. 100% highly recommend coming with your little ones.

A lovely setting for this hotel, the grounds are very peaceful, the walled garden is very nice and the spa lovely although issues with damp in the pool area. The staff in the hotel are charming, however, I agree with other reviews which suggests 5 star prices for a 3 star hotel. This hotel is tired and in need of tlc and decoration (untidy decor and very tired and worn out furniture). The superior room we had was spacious but facilities limited. No chairs to sit and have a drink and relax, no chair at the dressing table, only a very low level chaise under the window, too low to look out at the gardens and most uncomfortable for 2 of us to sit and relax. The bed was only a double, not what we would expect for an expensive superior room and the very noisy fan in the bathroom meant we could not leave a light on to see our way to the bathroom during the night. We mentioned this to the hotel, but other than offering to bring us 2 chairs, nothing was offered. Additionally, there is no bar, so with limited facilities in our room, we have no option but to go down to the small lounge later for an aperitif. Let's hope dinner tonight makes up for our disappoin**ent - we booked hoping for a gourmet dining experience which was how the restaurant was described. We will see.

We came to Woolley Grange for our first proper family holiday since welcoming our 5 month old baby to our crew. She was in tow, alongside our 3 year old. We chose to come because we were impressed by the offerings of the venue. It was so ideal to have everything provided. We only got out our suitcases and essential toys from our car, the pram and bedding bits were not needed at all which adds another layer of ease to it all. We were further impressed by the food and drink options, and the flexibility of being able to eat pretty much wherever you wanted to within the hotel! There was so much to keep our toddler busy, we can’t help but be amazed. Both the kids went into ‘the den’ for their included time and we paid for an extra session on the third day, and attending both toddler activities sessions we were around for. The one with Dave the gardener was particularly fantastic. The spa was lovely, the pools a good feature too. We did experience a pretty major power cut on the main day of our stay, and while this meant we could only have a continental breakfast, it barely put a dent into the great time that we had. The staff were brilliant in keeping everyone busy and calm whilst figuring out solutions! The only suggestion I would have (after speaking with other parents) would be maybe to have a small shelf in bedrooms for baby cameras to sit on, that give a good view of most the room. We managed to perch ours on a picture frame but it was a bit precarious! We want to say a huge thank you for a wonderful time, and our room upgrade. That was a lovely surprise when we arrived!
