The room to which we were assigned was very disappointing. It was old and extremely dark. The sun shade was permanently closed and the drapes covering it were broken. I suspect that the hotel had nicer rooms, but for whatever reason, we were assigned this extremely poor room. Regarding the breakfast service, they did not offer a buffet, despite the option being on the menu. Lack of employees? I don't know. I wonder if Marriott's purchase of Sheraton has resulted in a lack of capital to improve their properties. We were in Nashville recently where the water at the Sheraton was off and on over our three night stay.
