Room was very small and bed uncomfortable. Have been to many spas and I wouldn’t return here. Water was cold and there are not any areas to lie around pool. Also food in the orangery was not as good as expected. Service was appalling throughout, never asked how our meal was after leaving most of it and at checkout never asked about our stay. Can’t recommend.

Hotel is a bit tired and could do with a refresh. Room was spacious though, very comfy bed so had a good restfull sleep. Had a great sea view and easy access to the beach. Breakfast was plentiful, great choice and tasty.

The hotel lobby was lovely and modern. We can’t overly fault the condition of the hotel. There is a car park to the front and plenty of spaces. There was however a hiccup at check in. We had booked and paid via ******* and reception advised we had a full balance due of our nights stay as they hadn’t been paid by ******* yet. This was nonetheless resolved and we were checked in. On the morning of check out, we were again advised that a full balance was due of our nights stay. The receptionist had to fetch a senior staff member who then resolved the issue however it was disappointing that this wasn’t resolved when we checked in as we were told it had. We had asked reception to book us a taxi which didn’t appear and we had to arrange our own, though we found taxis difficult to get later in the day ourselves. The room itself was clean and decorated well. It was a little cold through the night. We couldn’t find a way to adjust the temperature, though there was a radiator in the room. Arran aromatics toiletries were a nice touch. The mattress was a bit too firm for our liking and the 2 pillows provided felt quite cheap and didn’t offer much support. Breakfast the next morning was complimentary and was fine, though in our full Scottish breakfast the potato scone was sodden and inedible. For the price of our stay I would have expected a more comfortable bed, pillows and heating controls.

Loved our whole time there and didnt want to come bome, dont think therecwas anything i didnt like there at all. Will defo, defo be back again very soon 😁

Our night at the Seamill Hydro was absolutely lovely. Stayed in a deluxe Seaview room and the views were stunning despite the weather. Loved enjoying a quiet drink in our room while doing some seal-spotting. The meal in The Orangery was a really highlight and the staff could not have been more attentive. Food was delicious! The only thing have to mark down for is the pool/leisure facilities. The pool is cold and the "jacuzzi" part is no warmer so you are basically just sitting in bubbly jets of cold water! Not ideal and a real shame as the rest of the hotel is perfect. I would definitely revisit if they turn the temperature up in the pool. Lovely hotel

It was ok but the beds are terrible and never sleep due to other guests that were banging doors and shouting at 1.30am never go back there

This hotel is in a lovely position sitting on the beach. The courtyard Arran view room had a good sized space and bathroom with a great view however the furniture looked pretty dated which let the room down. Overall this is a nice hotel but unfortunately the staff a part from a couple really let this hotel down their level of bothered ness is zero and on the whole are pretty rude! To be fair to them it looked as though at times they were pretty short staffed and unfortunately this showed in their whole work ethic. Considering when you walk into the hotel the reception staff are the first you meet and they could do with a brush up on customer service to say the least!

The service in the dining room was not good as we had to wait an hour after our dessert until getting a coffee. The breakfast staff were very good.

The staff who checked my partner and I in called Anne was fantastic, a local lady who was full of character, she certainly made a great impression for arriving to the hotel. Unfortunately this couldn’t be said about the staff within the restaurant located across from reception. My partner and I went to check out the food menu only to over hear a conversation between a member of staff and the customer. Customer asked “Lindsey” if they could enter to have some food and drink, she replied if they have booked a table, which they did not. Unfortunately Lindsey followed up with some unprofessional behaviour and attitude. My partner and I booked a table for 2000 to which we arrived for 1955 only to be left standing for over 10 full minutes, during these 10 minutes we got approached once from a member of staff asking to be patient and we will be seen. My partner and I waited that long, the restraints own customers even came up to us to inform us that: 1) they didn’t get seated after 10 minutes therefore they just took their own seats. 2) recommended not to order any food because they were dissapointed 3) if we want a drink then to go to the bar because they waited over 20 minutes for two drinks. I feel that being informed this by other customers is a shambles and not up to standards of the Seamill Hydro. My partner and I were eventually seated, and after 1 hour of waiting for a food menu, we decided to leave and get a takeaway from town.
