長島普雷恩維爾假日酒店(Holiday Inn Plainview-Long Island, an IHG Hotel)

This is one of my favorites hotel in Long Island

I never write reviews but in this case I had to. I chose this property because the reviews seemed good. check in was easy and the gentleman helping me was polite, helpful and very professional. I forgot his name but he was working Saturday evening 12/9/23. Shortly after twelve midnight there was a loud knock on our door. The woman on the other side of the door shouted for us to open the door. My husband asked her what she wanted and she yelled again for us to come to the door. My husband asked again what do you want? She loudly stated she's getting noise complaints and if we don't keep the noise down she's going to have us escorted out. We were so confused. At this point I was furious. My husband called the front desk to find what was going on. Cindy answered and stated she was getting noise complaints and therefore had to come deal with it. I'm sorry this is not a cheap motel we're staying at. I was not satisfied with her answer so my husband and I walked up to the front desk to speak to her. Once face to face she denied knocking on our door stating the noise complaint was coming from a separate room two doors down. We asked her how could she get the rooms mixed up like that and why didn't she call first. She stated she did which our phone never rang. Regardless I don't like being lied to and being threatened. She did apologize but I wasn't ok with any of it. Even if you received a noise complaint that's not the way to go about it. I would never stay here again.

I was staying for 5 nights. While there i had 3 major incidents. 1. First night the fire alarm went off at 12 because the power went out. 2. Second time was a couple days later when the fire alarm went off because of a leak. 3. The third time was the fire alarm again, don't remember the reason. At other times you had people talking in the hallways very loud and no one said anything to them. All these occurances were at night after 11:30pm. I spoke with the manager and he said he couldn't do anything for me. It was the worst experience i I've ever had at a hotel. I will not be going back.

Holiday inn charged my credit card for an unauthorized purchase. They said it was a routing issue however money for purchase could bot be refunded until 5-7 business which is ridiculous since they took it right away it should have been refunded right away

The hotel was immaculate. Front desk staff was amazing. I’ve stayed in many hotels and this was my favorite. The lights were adjustable in the room, it was a good light around the mirror in the bathroom. The shower water was actually hot! It’s rare in most hotels. I’ll def be staying there more.
