曼德拉基海灘度假村(Mandraki Beach Resort - Adults Only)

Hotel e beach club in un posto bellissimo, facilmente raggiungibile da Atene. Hotel a 5 stelle che rispetta in piene i parlamentari sia dei servizi che delle attenzioni al cliente, il personale è cordiale, disponibile e molto professionale; la manager sempre pronta a risolvere velocemente ogni minimo eventuale problema o disguido. Il beach club molto bello con un ottimo servizio, consiglierei alla struttura di rendere il beach club un po’ più esclusivo per gli esterni. Posto consigliato a chi vuole un piccolo angolo di lusso sul mare!

Premetto: probabilmente ci tornerò. È un posto magico, un resort aperto da poco letteralmente sulla spiaggia e l’unico cinque stelle dell’isola. Abbiamo alloggiato in una suite con piscina privata ed affaccio sulla spiaggia e quindi sul mare: un incanto! Il personale è davvero accogliente e gentile, ad iniziare dal proprietario per continuare con la general manager Desi ed Anthi al ricevimento. Si vede che fanno del loro meglio per rendere il soggiorno meritevole del prezzo pagato. È una struttura ancora in rodaggio, per questo non tutto è perfetto ma la gentilezza e disponibilità delle persone è tale che a me viene facile perdonare le mancanze. Altri temo potranno invece eccepire che se la struttura è cinque stelle ed il prezzo è cinque stelle tutto dev’essere ad un livello di cinque stelle…beh, non mi sento di dire che lo sia già oggi e tuttavia dall’impegno che ci mettono sono molto confidente che ci arriveranno. Una nota di merito va anche allo chef: la colazione , il pranzo servito in spiaggia e la cena al ristorante Captain M sono tutte di qualità eccelsa sia nella freschezza delle materie prime che nel loro trattamento. Per non parlare dell’ incanto di cenare in riva al mare… Però..c’è un però… In due giorni di soggiorno non abbiamo mai potuto godere della spiaggia di fronte alla camera a causa di eventi organizzati per clienti esterni all’hotel… eventi che hanno portato una moltitudine di persone in tale spiaggia vanificando totalmente quel senso di pace e di quiete che renderebbero esclusivo questo posto e giustificherebbero più di ogni altra cosa il prezzo richiesto per la camera… Io capisco che business is business e che tali eventi possano essere remunerativi, capisco anche che l’hotel è avviato da poco e quindi bisogna incrementare il più possibile le entrate anche attraverso clienti esterni , ed ho anche apprezzato che noi “clienti residenti” siamo stati destinati alla spiaggetta più piccola ubicata sull’altro lato della struttura e onestamente anche molto gradevole (nonostante il continuo via vai sull’adiacente molo di approdi di barche private, water taxi e navetta dell’hotel …) però resta il fatto che io ritengo giustificabile pagare cifre importanti per avere l’esclusività di un posto il più possibile riservato, e questo mi è invece totalmente mancato. Tanto da chiedermi (e lasciare questo spunto di riflessione alla proprietà) se la prossima volta che verrò ad Hydra non sarà più sensato soggiornare altrove a prezzi ben più contenuti e venire a mia volta da esterno a godere della bellezza di questa spiaggia e della meravigliosa capacità di accoglienza dello staff del Mandraki Beach Resort… a cui comunque rinnovo i complimenti e l’incitamento a continuare così!

Un angolo di paradiso, su un'isola deluziosa e storicamente molto importante. L'hotel offre una grande ed alta qualità, oltre che tantissima pace per ricaricare le energie. Il luogo perfetto per ricentrarsi e rilassarsi. Ottimo staff, ottimo cibo, ottimi servizi. Da visitare e soggiornare assolutamente.

Mandraki Beach Resort is a hidden gem just around the corner from the town. Immersed in simplicity this resort boasts of a quiet cove where the gentle lapping of the waves is music to our ears. They are manned by plesant and wonderful staff and they do take care of you very well. A perfect balance of aesthetics and comfort.

As someone who always swears by the Telegraph where to stay website, I googled Hydra as we were coming to a wedding there and Mandraki did not come up as the place that you’d want to stay to pay homage to Leonard Cohen’s inspiration. Anyway, I took the risk and booked three rooms, one in the seaside suite, one cabin (photo does not do it justice) and the other a beach side villa with a Jacuzzi pool. None disappointed although on arrival, my son whose birthday it was, was upgraded to the Tower suite which has the most amazing sea view. However it does not have access to the Jacuzzi pool which in May is warm, heated and a delightful afternoon attraction for us all and faces west so keeps the sun until it sets. Each room, even my daughter’s cabin had a free mini bar with drinks and snacks included which is very welcoming. The menu at the restaurant which is on the water is not your typical Greek affair so be prepared to come here and be delighted with some amazing flavours. This lunchtime as we prepare to leave the sushi chef has arrived and we will be having fresh sashimi. Hydra is a very special village and Mandraki is down the coast. However the hotel runs a fast boat service literally 3 - 5 minutes max hugging the coast. This runs any time day or night for free so do not be put off that Hydra’s night life is out of reach! I didn’t realise this when I booked it but this to me is a complete bonus. Beach by day and party by night. Mandraki was opened last year for the first time and I hear there was some building work going on. This is now finishing and so peace will return to this protected bay although boats do come in and out with some frequency and I imagine in the summer will be crammed! My husband says why am I writing this review. Simply because I think it deserves it. He says it’s a place you should keep quiet about because once known it will become hard to get a booking. A real gem, not cheap but worth it!

If you are looking for real peace and quiet, a place to be pampered and leave stress behind, then this place is for you. The hotel staff is willing to take good care of you. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food is excellent and the beach is a place where you would love to spend the whole day. The port of Hydra is about twenty minutes away on foot, but you may also get there by means of a boat (the hotel's own boat or a sea taxi).

I stumbled into this place after a long, hot walk. It proved to be a wonderful oasis of calm; a historic site in a beautiful bay, with sandy beaches, showers, a cool restaurant and attentive staff. I called my family to join me and we wound up having an eclectic and delicious lunch that included cauliflower and hazelnut salad, king crab brioche, beetroot and feta salad and tempura prawns. A really lovely spot only a few minutes’ walk (or a sea taxi) from Hydra town.

I spent two weeks in Hydra, and Mandraki Beach Resort is the best one and my favorite, easy to access and not far from Hydra Island, just 10 minutes away by taxi. The views are just like being in paradise, sand beach perfect, and the water is always warm. The food in the Restaurant is amazing and so delicious, with a range of variety on the menu. The host Ioana, is the best, she makes you feel welcome from the time you step on the beach, hence why I return every day. The owner is always present to make sure we were happy. The staff is adorable and professional, from the Sun Beds to the restaurant, they make your time there a great experience. I just got back today from Greece, and I already looking to book my trip back to this paradise! I 100% recommend this place!!

The owner and the staff are very friendly, it’s reachable by foot and by seataxi. We had fot lunch zuchinni tempura, shrimp saganaki and lobster linguin. It was really delicious, the sand and sea is perfect. We had also dinner, the silence of the place was amazing
