Nice clean hotel . Close to a number of restaurants. Close to freeway entrance.

For a funeral

My aunt booked us a stay here because my uncle highly recommends Marriott. We were moving from several states away and traveling with all our belongings in a large U-Haul and transporting multiple pets. We felt comfortable, safe and it was a much needed rest before we hit the road again. Highly recommend!

This hotel was great. Conveniently located near Joshua Tree National Park. Shops and restaurants are nearby. The parking was easy but spaces fill up fast. Check in was smooth and easy. Room had a great view to the mountains. It was big. The shower was not strong enough. There were 2 elevators but only one was working so had a long time for elevator. The breakfast was simple. The lobby was filled with lots of christmasie.

This is hands down the worst hotel I've stayed in in a very long time. Where to begin? First, the shower had about 3 trickles of water coming out of the shower head and the hottest you could get it was lukewarm. Second, they refused to clean the room consistently. I was there for 2 full weeks and they "cleaned" the room maybe 4 times, only after several complaints. The cleaning policy seemed to change depending on who you talked to (was it every other day? every second day?) And when we asked for further clarification Alicia (the front desk staffer) would roll her eyes and laugh. When we walked to manager Stephanie, she assured us the room would get cleaned. All they did was empty the trash and restock the towels. No vacuum, didn't make the beds, didn't wipe the counters down. And then they had the audacity to ask for a tip. The thermostat in the room would not stay at a consistent temperature. We'd go to sleep with it set to 69* and wake up several times throughout the night to find it had gone up to 72* - 74* Area around the hotel is literally just fast food. No where good to eat and nothing close by.

Woke up to the strong smell of cigarettes in our room. This was supposed to be a non smoking property but someone was clearly smoking in a nearby room as our bathroom smelled terribly of smoke. We told someone at the front desk and they seemed completely uninterested. Would not go back.
