佛雅爾斯酒店(Foyers House)

Das Zimmer war modern und schön eingerichtet und sauber. Es hatte einen seitlichen Blick auf den Loch Ness und liegt nah und gut gelegen an den Foyers Falls. Es liegt allerdings so hoch über Loch Ness, dass ein Besuch zu Fuß von hier aus für uns nicht möglich war. Weiter die Straße entlang haben wir ein paar schöne Parkmöglichkeiten mit Zugang zum See gefunden und in Dors schließlich einen schönen Strand und ein Lokal um dort zu essen. Das Hotel selbst bietet auch Dinner an und hat aus der Bar einen tollen Blick über den See. Wir wollten aber etwas die Gegend erkunden und waren auch etwas verstimmt, da aus unserer Sicht die Begrüßung nicht sonderlich freundlich war. Nachdem wir beim Umparken auf dem Parkplatz etwas Probleme hatten, hat ein Mann (wir denken es handelt sich um den Inhaber) wütend aus dem Fenster geguckt und irgendwas geschimpft, was wir nicht hörten, weil das Fenster zu war. Auf der Suche nach einer Rezeption kam die Betreiberin raus und fragte was wir suchen würden. Also direkt die zweite unfreundliche Begegnung. Es ging dann mit ihr recht höflich, aber nicht wirklich herzlich weiter, indem sie fragte wie lange wir blieben und danach wer wir seien. Dann zeigte sie uns das Zimmer. Wir wussten danach nicht wo die Rezeption ist, wo es Frühstück gibt, nichts. Insgesamt fühlten wir uns damit eher unwillkommen, auch wenn sie an sich höflich war.

A clean and tidy guest house with views over the Loch. Rooms are warm and comfortable with usual amenities. Louise is an excellent host and please have a taste of one of over 200 whiskies available at the bar!! A lovely evening meal and breakfast too!

Glad some people enjoyed this place; we didn’t get the chance. They agreed to extend our book-in time but texted a few minutes later to say we needed to cancel if we couldn’t arrive by 9.30 (because I’d made a foolish quip during the phone-call). They refunded our money but left us with nowhere to stay. We ended up sleeping on the floor of someone with dogs when I have a severe allergy to them – I’m still suffering now. Admittedly the joke was silly, but really???

Very unhelpful. Their website included a Dining option within their Food and Drink tab. It listed a sample menu with no prices. I sent an enquiry regarding the prices and got a polite but very unhelpful response suggesting I'd messaged the wrong property. Their website gives you info about the food and drink at "our on site restaurant and bar ". Their replied as if they had never heard of the restaurant. Net result - both businesses lost a booking. The sample menu has since been removed from their website. I'm not surprised they have got very variable reviews for their attitude. P.S you'd think they'd spell "Military" correctly on their own address at the bottom of the webpage

We had an amazing night here as part of our trip around Scotland! We were welcomed and checked in quickly, we headed straight to the bar and even though it was raining sat outside with a pint to admire the view which was absolutely stunning! We were catered to as vegans for dinner and our meals were delicious! The bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up. We had a lovely view from our room and a great added extra was the cute friendly cats that visited us outside! Thank you for a lovely night! We will be recommending this place to others!

BE WARNED. The managers are rude aggressive and cancelled our booking after making us wait 11/2 at the premises. Then they fraudulently took out £150 from our credit card 3 weeks later. *********** did reimburse us after we proved we weren’t even in the area at the time. I have never had an altercation or a bad experience with any other accommodation.

A very comfortable stay in a nice convenient but quiet location. Room cleanliness was superb, room was warm, comfortable and spacious. Ample parking available. Overall a nice stay in very comfortable surroundings.

Cannot speak highly enough about our stay in Foyers House, attention to detail from on site owners was second to none, accommodation was excellent and immaculate and would not hesitate to recommend anyone considering staying here. Dinner and breakfast were perfect This place is 10/10, nice and warm cosy bar with awesome whisky collection

we were very pleased with both of our rooms. Very comfortable, clean and warm, exactly what you love to have after a long day outdoor in the Highlands. The Lady was very friendly and helpful and all of us loved the breakfast in a lovely atmosphere with outstanding view at Loch Ness!!
