浪潮旅館(The Tides Inn)

Spent two nights with my wife on a leisurely trip along eastern Virginia. First day there were construction workers on our patio digging trenches along side our windows. Ants in our room. Housekeeping left our door open twice. Their marketing is way better than their property actually is. That being said the price makes it all worse.

We had a relaxing time & great weather to enjoy complimentary activities outside. The food and service were amazing we hope to be back soon!

We stayed as a springboard to stops in across-the-river Topping and not too far (about an hour) Williamsburg. Still the lovely, relaxed yet elegant hotel/mini-resort we remembered from 2021. Perfect as well for long weekends/time-away from the hustle bustle. Service excellent (shout-out to Alexis), food decent (fresh local offerings), though new main dining room had not yet opened at time of our stay. We took a room with balcony overlooking back-side of Carter's Creek; can recommend. One housekeeping glitch more than taken care of (many otherwise upscale venues just shrug their shoulders on housekeeping issues these days). We will return.

Our stay at The Tides Inn was very enjoyable and relaxing. Salt and Meadow, the Inn’s newly-refurbished restaurant, was undergoing a “soft opening” for Inn guests only during our stay (the restaurant will open to the public in mid-May). Our meals and service were superb! The grounds and patios overlooking the water are lovely and beautifully maintained.

We always book 3 or 4 stays per year at our Beloved "Tides". The service is the best we've ever experienced. How they find such wonderful staff is amazing! The food and ambiance can't be beat! Of all our world-wide travels, we rank "The Tides Inn" as one of our absolute favorites. Please Never lose your ambiance.

The resort is lovely - rooms are well appointed and staff is very helpful and pleasant. We took advantage of thoroughly enjoyed the boat cruise in the Rappahanock River. We were disappointed the new restaurant Salt and Meadow was not opened and that we were never updated about this prior to arrival since we had specially asked when making our stay reservations. Another drawback was room check in of 4PM and checkout at 11AM. In our experience, this doesn't seem to be industry standard and makes for a compressed visit if you are only staying for one night as we did.

We went to the Tides Inn for our Mini Honeymoon and loved how relaxing the place was. The staff was polite and courteous, they gave us a nice newlyweds gift for our room and the resort was so peaceful.

Beautiful setting and friendly staff. We had an issue with our room and they quickly moved us to an upgraded room at no extra cost for the trouble. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the grounds.

I had the pleasure of spending a week at this resort for a business retreat. I thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the space. The restaurants had wonderful cuisine. The staff assisted in obtaining local excursions and the overall aesthetic is relaxation.
