蘭薩羅特島寵物友善酒店

We have stayed at Secrets before - Maroma Beach in Mexico in 2016, Unlimited Luxury - probably the best resort we have experienced to date. Nothing was a bother, top shelf drinks, plenty of activities, concierge service, you name it, they were amazing, We thought we would try again at Puerto Calero, Lanzarote. Unlimited Luxury again. On arrival the resort was fantastic, it looked the part, check in smooth and offered cava. However I did soon realise there was now another tier of service at Secrets, The Preferred Club. I did ask about this but decided as we were only there for four nights we wouldn’t bother as unlimited luxury was perfect in Mexico, but it wasn’t the same. The resort is beautiful and clean, and the service is good. But just beware when booking unlimited luxury package that it is however limited. You will be limited to breakfast in the world cafe, again lovely but I don’t think it was anything spectacular over other resorts that have cost me a lot less. Lunch will be limited to world cafe or the pool bar (pool bar after 3 or pay additional before), also Oceana is reserved for preferred club for lunch. Be careful to not order top shelf spirits as this will also be an extra charge, ask for the drinks menu at dinner venues and you will see the same with other drinks such as wine or spirits. Some are included but you need to be careful not to be caught out. Unlimited luxury isn’t really that much fit for purpose anymore like it used to be. It’s really should be all or nothing, forget these tiers of luxury. It seems this preferred club came in 2017 after we visited Maroma Beach. Secrets Puerto Calero is a lovely destination but I feel if any of the above would bug you then go all in with preferred club (approx 100 pp per night on top of the price you’ve paid for unlimited luxury) or try somewhere else, I did feel a bit disappointed as the trip went on that there were possible additional charges for things we didn’t expect. We feel you could get another resort half the price for the same quality as Secrets “unlimited luxury”.
