奇也斯加温鄉間Spa酒店(Tre-Ysgawen Hall & Spa)

We arrived on 7th June 2024 and we stayed for 2 nights , The staff where very nice and polite . We stayed in the 4 poster bed on the ground floor the room needs updating and theBathroom . I did not shower as I found it difficult to stand in the bath tub with my health condition . Would have preferred a walk in shower and in general the bathroom was grubby and needed a good clean . The menu was okay but we found it to be very expensive and drinks where overpriced . When we arrived their was no bottled water in the room and we had paid £ 498.00 ) for 2 nights . So you would have thought there would be welcome basket in the room . Also we where near to kitchen so there was constant noise and banging of doors . I feel at present I would give it rating of 3 stars .

The staff are very nice. This is a family run hotel, and they’ve not been doing it long. It showed. The rooms were dated, the beds were…. Fine. The bathrooms were not up to a modern standard…All in all, NOT a four star hotel. Now, for the really bad thing- the hotel is not up to fire code. During our stay, there was a fire in the laundry room which was in the back extension area. The alarms went off, and a young man from the staff (owners son?) told us to go back to our rooms!!! ***??? We obviously ignored him, and emptied out of the about ten guest rooms of the second floor and followed the fire exit signs…to the locked front doors! Thank goodness the fire was contained, since it took the young man about ten minutes to unlock the doors. UNACCEPTABLE! When confronted (by another guest) about how unsafe this was he began to argue that that’s how they do it. It was surreal. We spent about three of the wee hours of the morning milling about. They did open the bar, so points for that, but still - you should not go to this hotel until the needed updates are done and the fire doors open out and are unlocked. The next day we checked out and left. No refund, no offer for a free day later, just “sorry about the alarm last night”.

First visit since new owners taken over Had lovely Sunday lunch followed by a relaxing afternoon having drinks on the forecourt The Food was delicious and very well presented ,The menu had plenty to choose from All staff welcoming and very friendly Highly recommended Will be back soon

The hotel is really good with original features and set in a beautiful location. The health suit is also very good, we had use of this from checking in . The breakfast was very good with lots of different selections and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying again as it is well worth the cost

Super Hotel in a great location, friendly staff, great service and facilities. The grounds are really good for a woodland walk and the lawn is immaculate. I really enjoyed my break there and eould recommend it. A real country gem but still close to some great local attractions, hope to visit again.

We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we walked in to this beautiful hotel. A member of staff(sharon) showed us where to go and could'nt do enough for us while we were there,she was so kind and helpful,as were all the staff. The afternoon tea was amazing,and the evening meal and brekfast too. Beautiful grounds and garden space. The spa was lovely,big pool,hot tub,steam room and sauna. Had a wonderful back and shoulder massage,girls were lovely and friendly. Nice rooms,with a really nice shower. We had a lovely break at this hotel and left feeling happy and spoilt. Will visit again. We would love it if they did a murder mystery weekend.

We stayed here Saturday night for my birthday. The staff were fantastic, very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely tine relaxing in the spa, pool was warm, jacuzzi was brilliant. Sauna and steam room immaculate. Our room was absolutely beautiful, we were stunned on arrival at how stunning it was. The only downfall was the TV we were not able to connect it to the internet and couldn't watch on demand programmes only live TV. The grounds are beautiful and a nice walk in the woodland with the bluebells was perfect. We had an evening meal, the ribeye steak was the best we've ever had and the chips were delicious ☺️ The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much effort for them. The bar in the evening was cosy and the man who served us was really welcoming, he gave us a tour of the hall and showed us upcoming restorations taking place. We both had a perfect night away and I really enjoined my birthday. The complimentary bottle of Prosecco on ice was a lovely touch to an already perfect room. Thank you very much. We will definitely be back again ❤️

My husband and I have stayed here twice before and loved our stay. Unfortunately on this occasion it wasn’t so great. We were made to feel very unwelcome at breakfast with the waitress and what looked like the Manager whispering in the corner. They never came over until we had to ask for some coffee. He then asked rather abruptly which room we were in. We had paid extra for a superior room and were made to feel like we were intruding. He brought a coffee pot without any milk so I had to get some from the cereal table. There was usually a selection of pastries but they had gone. When were were finally served breakfast, it was cold with a raw sausage and very under cooked egg. When we paid so much I feel like the food and terrible service was was a waste of our hard earned money. My husband went for a swim and jacuzzi and was told to get out of the jacuzzi. We won’t be coming back here. The service has gone way down hill and we know we can get better for less elsewhere.

We were passing through on business and stayed here a night .. our welcome was non Existent , a few niceties would have been good . The room was clean , pillows hard and you couldn’t open the windows so got very hot ! The best part of the hotel was the sweet waitress at dinner who was exceptional, her service was good and she always had a smile . As was the head waiter .
