Decided to have a meal here (did not stay in hotel) Decided as it was Sunday to go for a roast At £16.95 Ordered at the bar and food came within 10/15 mins Food looked lovely not Alot of it 3 roast potatoes two small piece of brocoli and a spoonful of carrot mash and a few strand of cabbage The meat well it looked lovely as it was huge chunk of beef I thought wow but unfortunately it was more fat than anything else I did bring it to a member of staff attention and it was quick replaced which I did appreciate The food was tasty but for the price it coukd of been bigger portions My partner had the same as me his beef was a little better but again had Alot of fat in The staff were great but will not return

Booked with a couple of friends for two nights and we had a lovely stay. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble (fabulous lady front of house in the restaurant on Saturday night). Great location and very clean and great breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Really friendly staff, extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent, good beer, Hancocks, and the evening meals were hearty. Loved the Welsh lamb Wellington and the chocolate delice were devine. Nice real fires and well decorated and modern in the back room. Bedrooms a little tired around the edges but clean and spacious, Beds comfortable with good linen. All in all great value for the price.

We absolutely loved it. We got engaged here 34 years ago and we were returning to celebrate . The staff were fantastic when they heard . They treated us like royalty. Paul the manager, Adam, Jackie, Tom, Sarah and Rob all gave us excellent local stories and advice. At the end we felt like family. We look forward to our next visit .

Excellent old world hotel , which has been modernised sensitively , possibly the best cooked vegetarian breakfast ever .

Lovely Venue, we turned up without a booking and we were pleasantly surprised there was availability and dogs were allowed. Tasty menu, in particular my husband ordered the lamb Wellington, Wow!! Open fire along with tasteful decor and lovely ambiance made our last day in Wales memorable. Will definitely return, should we be in the area again.

Regular here. No Bass, no Hancocks. Some staff need training. It feels like the new ownership are putting profit ahead of the customers by only selling bitter at the weekend. They're selling dog food at the bar. This used to be a really good locals pub but it seems to cater for holidaymakers more.

We enjoyed our stay at The Bulls Head. Our room was spacious, clean and cosy. The food was great and all the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Ade who gave us advice on places to visit.

A worrying trend to go down market. Our second visit to a Inn Collection Hotel. The first visit last year to the Pheasant in the Lake District was more enjoyable than the Bull Head. The main reason was the evening meal menu. Last years menu was far more interesting. This years menu was very mediocre
