Nous y sommes allés seulement pour manger. Le cadre est calme avec une belle vue, la salle est aussi jolie. La cuisine y est très bonne, les prix ne sont pas donnés, mais ils font de tres bon fish and chips !

What’s not to love about the Kames hotel? From the amazing view, to the cosy rooms, fabulous food and great service. Irene and her team are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Special mention to Neil who is one of a kind and even stops to say hello when we were out and about in the village which just adds to the whole experience. We have been to the hotel many times over the years to eat but this was the first time that we have stayed and it definitely won’t be the last. A little gem and well worth a visit!

We stayed in this hotel when doing the 5 Ferries cycle. The rooms were lovely- all fresh, stylish and comfortable. The food was excellent - particularly, on this occasion, the goat shanks. The location is stunning, looking over to Bute. We have been before and will return.

I was here for my daughter's wedding at the end of April. The weather was unbelievable - blue skies and sunshine which set off the Kames Hotel to perfection. Irene, the owner, was of great assistance to the happy couple and was never short of helpful suggestions. The dining room has a fabulous view over the sea and hills. The food throughout the day was delicious and there was plenty of it. The rooms and bars can be adapted for different uses so there was a ceilidh as well as a disco to finish the happy day. I also stayed in the hotel before the big day and had a really comfortable room with a plentiful and varied breakfast each day. I can thoroughly recommend the Kames Hotel whether it's just for a short stay or for a bigger occasion.

Overnight stay, garden view room , good sized room, comfortable beds, hot shower, tea/coffee. Nice chatty welcome, friendly bar, good food and wine. Breakfast equally good. Lovely bacon ! Food suppliers listed on their blackboards- nice touch. Look forward to recommending Kames !

Had an absolutely incredible overnight at the Kames Hotel at the end of March. We received the warmest welcome from Irene on arrival and were quickly set up with our room key. The hotel is absolutely immaculate and feels incredibly homey. My friend and I had a double room - very spacious, comfiest bed and pillows and super warm and cosy. The shower is so hot and there are beautiful Duck Bay products to use. We visited the restaurant for dinner and it was hands-down one of the best meals I have ever had. The fish and chips were out of this world, so fresh, massive portion and so tasty. The service was excellent; every member of staff was just so friendly. Breakfast was equally fabulous: fresh smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and the menu had great variety. It is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location and the service is second to none. Will definitely be back.

This hotel is tucked away in an extremely beautiful part of Scotland. The place itself is very comfortable, room-wise and public spaces all very well furnished and styled. The food, all cooked to order is very good, the chef seems to like a bit of off the wall experimentation for specials and serves up some really tasty, unusual and surprising treats from what he could get fresh that weekend. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling in that vicinity.

We initially loved the hotel, in a great setting and room had scenic views over the water. However our stay was ruined by the lack of hygiene standards, especially given the price we paid for the room. Glasses in the bathroom were dirty on check in as were our coffee cups at breakfast. To top it off I found a hair in my porridge along with a green mysterious fleck. Thankfully we'd only booked the one night and were checking out soon after. We tried contacting the hotel after our stay to leave the above feedback instead of writing a negative review but have had no response from them this week. Hence we felt little option other than to post this. Between the very poor hygiene levels and receiving no communication from the hotel we can only recommend avoiding at all costs!
