It was for a accidental detour to Jalandhar while returning from Dalhousie when I booked Maharaja Residency. Online reviews looked good and the front desk gave a good deal for two rooms. The hotel is located at a stone’s throwaway from Railway station and is near to main market. The room was exactly the same as shown on website with nice ambience and clean linen. Room service was excellent particular mention for Shubham who always catered us with a nice smile on his face. Mr Ajit at front desk were really nice and facilitated quick check in for us as we reached late in night. One star deducted is for washrooms which are in need of serious overhaul. The WC look worn out and the faucet needs revamp. Moreover the complimentary breakfast spread is too meek and must have bit more variety. Overall a nice Hotel for short stay at Jalandhar.
Stayed here for 1 night on the way to Amritsar. They have ample parking space in the basement. The staff at the reception were polite. The rooms were nice and clean. The bathroom was clean with good hot water supply. Sadly the wifi connectivity in the room was almost negligible. The breakfast did not have a buffet. So we had to order among the selected choices. The food was decent though. Will definitely recommend the place for families and friends.
Terrible experience would be how I would describe our two week stay. We have been regular customers at your Jalandhar hotel since 2005. This year was our worst experience and has made us rethink about our next vacation at your hotel. We booked four rooms as our children and family accompanied us on our most recent visit. Three of the rooms were perfectly suitable except for the stale smell in the rooms. We forwarded numerous complaints about issues with our room 310. In the entrance of the room there was continuous dripping of water from the ceiling resulting in the light also not functioning. It was repeatedly resolved for a few hours then the same problem would occur. On one occasion I slipped twisting my knee leaving me uncomfortable for the rest of his duration. I even attended the massage parlour to try and resolve the pain. As we regularly visit Jalandhar on business, we decided to take the opportunity of using the meeting room. On both occasions we booked via reception and at no point did your staff or management explain that after ½ hour we would be charged, we told it was complimentary. On checkout, you can imagine our reaction to be informed that there was a 6000 rupee charge. We explained to your staff that we had not been informed and your front desk manager accused us of using the meeting room every day without any evidence. He also stated that the charges were clearly displayed in the meeting room. We asked your manger to show us where the charges were displayed and on then visiting the meeting room was not able to identify the notice as they did not exist

訪訪客Hotel location bang on the NH44 and before Jalandar town on the Jammu stretch was the plus point. Easy access & with own but limited vehicle parking(I was on a motorcycle!) Room was spacious as also was the toilet/bath. Didn't see no geyser so guess hot water is switched-on & supplied in the mornings alone?! I stayed in the peak of summer with temperature at 40+℃ outside so never felt the need for hot water to bathe! Food served in Muskan the dining cum bar was delicious! Hotels lift was there at Hotel but defunct(perhaps switched off deliberately?) Air-con was noisy but tolerable for 1 nite transit. Hotel sure has seen better days but still is OK for breaking journey & overnite halts, I'd say.
I celebrated my birthday here. The hospitality of Prabhjot and all the staff members was commendable. The chef sunny katoch made the food so good. And extra cake for my toddler delighted her. Thank you so much. Overall, Golden Tulip exceeded my expectations. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for excellent hospitality, comfort, and a memorable experience.
Stayed twice over a couple of weeks with family - 5 days in two rooms and 2 days in 3 rooms. We traveled from the UK, so didn't know what to expect - it was all good in the end. The great:- The hotel was convenient as it was close to family and also in the middle of the town. Staff were attentive(a tip driven culture) and helpful and most of all the hotel was clean. The not so great:- the breakfast could have been better and you need to ask for the rooms to be serviced over a longer stay. Rooms at Front can be noisy, and pigeons on air conditioners are a pain in the morning, but not as much as the local temple reciting prayers at 6 am. Overall, we loved this hotel and the staff.
I made this booking at the very last moment directly through the Hotel Reservation as it was a very last minute plan and the entire Jalandhar's good hotels were full. So having no other option we had to book this as my family was travelling with my parents and my wife & 02 kids. But it was like a nightmare to stay at this hotel. Arrived around afternoon to the hotel and was done a smooth check-in despite we had requested them for a inter-connecting room which we didn't got but I can understand that as it was a last minute booking. And i would say the hotel rooms are pretty decent. But as the day passed, we got to know that there service is really bad. We ordered the food from outside and from the reception I got an information that I cannot order food from outside as it is not allowed, which they want us to buy the food from the hotel itself. Well I do travel to the different part of the world and I know the policies that yes if a person is ordering the food from outside, they are not allowed to have it it the hotel's public area like restaurant, bar or any public areas of the hotel. But none of the hotel says that you cannot get food from outside in the hotel. Well the cleanliness of the room was not that great also, but as we were not having any other option so had to compromise with the same. Even they were not having enough staff to deliver the service on time as well as whenever you request anything, it takes ages to get that. In the night we thought that we will order the food from the Hotel only as a Room service and we called Room service and firstly we ordered few water bottles, believe us we had to call plenty of time to get the water bottles to our room and it took around 45 minutes just to get the water bottle. Also we called room service to send someone to the room to discuss about the food order and I started calling for the same but as I mentioned that it took ages like more than 01 hour time to make them understand that we need to order the food and as we have some food order preferences, that's why we need someone to meet us in the room to discuss about the same so someone came with the water bottles after that much time to get our order. And we given them the order and we told them that please try to deliver the order priority as we have kids to feed as they are already sleepy as it is already late and due to there late response its getting more late. The food was delivered around the midnight time and till that time the kids were already sleepy, but as a parent we had made them awake so that they can have their dinner. The dinner which was made was an ok sort of food quality, I mean Punjab is always know for their food delicacies but this was just ok ok. Overall the service was pathetic and I mean such a ridiculous service. Even it was our anniversary, but they have spoiled the entire trip of me and my family. The banquets rooms, restaurants, corridors, staircase etc. again impress you with their elegant furniture, paintings, mirrors etc. The food again was delicious and so was the presentation. Special word of appreciation for the front desk managers, M/s. Ujwal, Kapil and Davendra for their smiling and very helpful attitude.
