Wow, over 15 years I was at this place. And I have to say that they done a great job there. Great spa, beautiful surroundings and some really tasty food and drinks. We got a suite that was cozy and stylish.

A beautiful old ex medieval Manor House in the Swedish Countryside South of Jonköping. Our dining room experience was second to non. We opted for the preselected wine packet with each course, and this turned out to be very wise. The Maitre D was very perceptive and delegated a charming young Frenchman to be our waiter by the name of Mathieu. Mathieu hailed from La Rochelle, which has a very strong Rugby tradition, so we also had plenty to discuss over Wales forthcoming game against Australia and of course he spoke excellent English. We did eventually get around to the fine dining, much to to my wife's relief and Mathieu steered us skillfully through the menus and wine selection. After dinner we took our coffee and cognacs in the Royal Roo which had excellent paintings of Sweden's Kings down through the ages. Mathieu was quick to point out that he was part of the Royal Banquet team of waiters for Sweden's King Carl XV1 Gustaf and Queen Silvia's recent visit to Strasbourg. Our bedroom was very cozy and well appointed. With elevators serving all floors. There was an excellent Gold course and drivng range nearby, in house spa and swimming pool, we also noticed a Padel tennis court. We rate our experience as 5 Star. Joseph Ans Kia Sharps.

Excellent service, golf course in very good condition (parkbanan) Enjoyed a golf and spa package. What really stood out was the dinner and service around it. Balanced tastes, large portions and a nice wine package to top off the event. Knowledgeable waitress that knew the food, wines and held up a discrete buy pristine service. . We played parkbanan that was in really good shape with a small minus for worn tee’s

We came for a mid-week trip and stayed one night. This is basically a gold reteat but anyone can enjoy this place. Nice Spa, good Gym and really beautiful public rooms, bar and a restaurant in the main house with a view out over the lake where you can also go swimming. We enjoyed the access to the spa and three-course dinner, and the good thing about the dinner was; you could choose three courses from the a la carte menu and it was not a set three-course today's dinner. The food in the restaurant was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. We had a room in a two story-building next to the tennis court. Unfortunately, this had the impression of being the old rooms for the employees. The room had been painted but not renovated. The electric outlets were poor and difficult to get to when you want to charge your phon. When didn't see the rooms in the main house but they must be better than our room. If we come back, we will stay in the rooms in the main house.

Golf was good, food was excellent. Also the service in all the facilities was fist class, nothing to complain about the rooms either. Only negative was that there was no hairdryer in the locker room for the moment. A very nice place for a few days getaway.

What a nice place fo a weekend. Everything perfect. The rooms spacy, clean and beautiful furnished. The food really good, high quality and served with creativity. The staff is 5 star. So friendly and professional. The Spa and gym was really good, clean and so lovely designed. I would have given Hooks a 5 however it is under restoration so the reception floor et c was closed. But next time it will be 5

We spent a couple of nights at Hooks in May. We had a lovely stay. Easy to drive to, big parking lot available as there is a good golf course next to the hotel building. We received a big room in the main building, with a bathroom with a large bathtub and sink. In the smaller room in the bathroom you have a shower and the toilet. Shampoo, soap and lotion is available in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, with super fluffy pillows and a heavier duvet. We slept very well. The very small negative is that you might hear some noice from the corridor outside, but you have to remember that this is a old building with older doors. Spa area was really great, good value for money. 2 outdoor heated pools, 1 with fizz, the other one with still water. Both with a fabulous view of the Hoks lake. Inside you have a nice selection of 3 saunas, Finnish, steam and relax sauna. Several types of showers, rain, cold, mist etc. Longer pool for swimming, 1 heated indoor pool, 1 ice pool, bowls for foot bath. As the amount of people is limited due to covid, it does not feel to crowded. I have the amazing pleasure to have the whole spa for my self for almost a hour. This was the most relaxing time ever! Moving on to dinner, we can absolutely recommend the food, very nice selection of dishes in a a la carte menu. We took the easy option of wine package to go with the food, simple and ok wines. The restaurant is large, and the tables was well spaced, following the recommendations with no problems. At breakfast there was a buffet with the normal Swedish items available. Hand sanitizer and gloves available at the entrance, and the whole restaurant open so there was not any problems with space. For both dinner and breakfast we were provided with slot times to reduce and spread out the amount of people in the space. Golf course is in a good condition with helpful staff for the times available.

We booked lunch on our road trip at hooks herrgård , they didint have our reservation in the restaurant but we managed to get a table anyway allthough we called and booked in advance.. Once we got our table the food was all gone, the waitress asked if we wanted to pay full price and eat the sallads bar, what?! We ended up leaving the reastaurant since we didnt find it fair to spend 180 SEK for buffé sallad.. we went up to the golf restaurant where the service was good and there was food in the kitchen..... Worst waitress and service we have seen..
