蘇格海灘度假村公寓酒店(Sugar Beach Resort)

VRBO has been the worst channel to book a reservation. The day of arrival I get a missed voicemail that I did not sign a rental agreement. I tried to call back but the “host” is closed. I tried VRBO and they try to call the host but can’t. So now I’m sleeping on the street. Finally after 8:30 pm they get someone to email me the rental agreement for me to sign and then I get my arrival instructions at 9:47 pm. Now getting a receipt to bill my company (business travel) was another headache. ******* help center sent me to VRBOu, who sent me to the host who were again closed. It took me a few hours to get my receipt.

We have stayed at this resort multiple times over the years. It is located on the beach and is the second to last building on the bay before wildlife reserve. It has a nice pool and hot tub. The resort has changed hands since we last stayed and there are some changes in the check in process. Each unit is individually owned and are well kept. Our unit did not have wash cloths, but an owner was talking to another individual at the hot tub about white wash cloths and mascara permanently staining them so he had purchased black wash cloths. It is an older building, bathroom is smaller than most newer places, but would stay there again.

This unit was managed by Ali'i Resorts and they were so helpful and accommodating. The unit had nice furnishings, a super comfortable bed, and a well stocked kitchen. Everything worked perfectly, the lanai overlooked the beach, and the resort is central to everything. The grounds are well kept with lots of lawn chairs and the pool area is clean, nice and has a restroom. We had an amazing tlme and honestly have no complaints. Found supplies we didn't expect, beach towels and nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs and lots of bath towels! If we return Maui, we eill book this unit agalin.

Nice resort older condo complex but they try to keep clean. Depending on which unit you rent, many of the interiors have been nicely remodeled however you want to be sure to get a mainly ocean view or you will be staring directly across other building unit interiors. At the beach, there is not one shade structure to block sun so be certain your rental provides a beach umbrella if is that is important to you.

Nice place, very close to clean beach. 1 bed room fully equipped apar**ents. You can get groceries from adjoining super market . It's like full running house. There is pool, adjoining hot water jacuzzi for muscle relaxation . Convenient location closed to airport and golf course.

With the units being individually owned, I can't speak for any of the other units, but we were quite happy with PH17 and would love to stay there again. It was expensive, but a much nicer room and view than a 50% more expensive hotel would have been. PH stands for penthouse and the condo was on the 6th floor. The elevators worked well and we never hear another guest from our unit. It is on the north end of Sugar Beach Resort, which has a parking garage. We appreciated have the covered parking and there were always open spots on the first level. The unit was clean and in excellent repair. It included extras like binoculars, beach chairs and coolers. Washer and dryer worked fine. The condo was just the right size for the two of us. The beach is fairly small and with waves that often covered them all the way, folks sat on the lawn rather than the sand.

Excellent unit in this complex for us. A few floors up that I got my steps in and not so many that I skipped walking and went straight to the elevator. But there is an elevator option for when we arrived and when we left (with luggage). Situated away from the BBQ and pool area (we're honeymooners) with a great view of the bay from the balcony and easy access to the beach. Great for walks along the water. I'm guessing all units have the same level of cleanliness but really appreciated the in-unit washer/dryer; the how to notes; the beach towels/chairs and the welcome tote with goodies! Hope to be back here next year!

Good location, however the pool is a complete zoo. When asked about all the running, screaming, jumping, etc. (All ay) the management said that parents just let her kids do what they want. Zero chance to enjoy even a corner of the pool without getting splashed or listening to constant screaming. No respect or courtesy for anyone. Do not recommend. We won't be back.

We stayed in unit 115. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Bed was very comfortable. Reason for the 4 star is the beach wasn't spectacular in our opinion and the neighbors were quite loud. Other than that we had a fabulous stay. Would stay again if in the area.
