We enjoyed ourselves at this hotel. The room was clean, the view from our patio tremendous! Wonderful breakfast buffet, super friendly staff. Very accommodating and informative. Free tickets to ride local transportation as well as the gondola up to see Oeschinensee. Easy walk from the train station. Would happily return!

Came for a short break, but amazed that reviews are so complementary. Our room was like a cupboard. So small my partner and I couldn't walk around to the bathroom without one of us sitting down. Breakfast was poor - no offer of anything cooked. There was a complete lack of atmosphere and the staff had no warmth. We asked if we could eat in the restaurant on one evening and were told that the kitchen was only for half board guests - we were B and B.!!! We went and ate in the lovely restaurant of another hotel.

We were greeted very warmly and that set the tone for our stay. The hotel was clean, warm, fantastically located 3 minutes from the train/bus station. The pillows were soft and we really couldn’t fault the place. Breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommend if staying in Interlaken.

The hotel is very well located, is very comfortable and clean, the food is great and the best of all is the amazing service they have. They were very helpful during our stay, our dog was attacked by other during a hike and the hotel offer to transport us to the veterinary and were extremely helpful during the rest of our stay, thank you very much to the whole staff we will definitely be back.

What a perfect pick! I booked a Standard twin bedded room "Allmenalp" with balcony, bath/shower, WC, TV, WIFI. I felt like I was upgraded to a 1 Bedroom Suite. The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet, not too near the elevator, and had two nice balconies with views, albeit from the side of the hotel. There was parking (though we used the train). Ample closet space, and good Wifi connectivity. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. The owners Gerhard & Claudia were always available, and their pride in the hotel was clear. All staff were pleasant and helpful, from housekeeping to the front desk. Every detail had a personal touch of elegance and was meticulously looked after. I didn’t see any fixture, furnishing or tile in need of maintenance or attention, and the guest laundry was available for a small 4 chf per load, wash & 4 chf to dry. We were happy to have access after being in country a week. There is also laundry service available. Hotel Bernerhof has its own restaurant and breakfast was included. Excellent hours of availability, and a nice selection of breads, cereals, fruit, juices, yogurts, cheeses and cold sliced meats, as well as Coffee & Tea. I will review the restaurant individually as we ate dinners multiple nights at the hotel. Location was 5 minute's walk from the Kandersteg rail station and know two larger markets are nearby as well as a drug store that can meet all your necessities. My wife and I would most definitely recommend Hotel Bernerhof, and would certainly book here again on our next visit to Kandersteg!

Had a beautiful view of the mountains and great lawn. Centrally located and convenient to all you need. Definitely going back!

Our stay in Kandersteg couldn't have been better due to staying at this wonderful family owned hotel. The attention we were shown from the moment of checking in to each day at breakfast was amazing. The view from our balcony was beautiful. Each day we would pick up the hotels newsletter at breakfast and use it to help us decide what to do. The owners couldn't be more helpful.

We had a great stay here. We stayed with our 2 adult children, and our rooms were great, with stunning view from the balconies. The whole staff was very friendly and accommating, finding fans for our room during an unexpected heatwave. The food was also excellent; we had breakfast twice and dinner once. The hotel and restauant are small enough to feel very homey, which we loved.
