艾爾拉戈水域汽車旅館(El Lago Waters Motel)

Booked this based on location & price. Hubby read the reviews & said it didn't sound great. I like to give things a chance & was only 1 night. We arrived and were greeted by Julie. She was pleasant. Our family room 212 was spacious, facing the car park. Kettle, toaster, microwave & WIFI worked, TV looked decent gave up trying to watch anything on it, and used our laptop & phones. Bathroom was fair, mattresses were fine, you get what you pay for, it's a 2 star motel not luxury end. We just needed a bed and shower for the night & we got it. Pool was nice, kids had a ball, we left early in the AM. We drove down the block and realised the bad reviews are for the EL LAGO Water Resort, which is the tourist park & that looks shady not for the EL LAGO Water Motel we stayed at. Cheers

Real friendly staff. Hotel is bit run down and worn but location is awesome and it’s very family friendly with nice big pool . We would stay here again.

I booked here at the last minute because I couldn’t get a room in one of the more ‘high end’ hotels. Yes it’s old, yes it’s quite run down. It was clean though and the location was great. It also has a really beautiful pool. I spent the previous night in one of those high end motels and hated it - the bed at El Lago was so much more comfortable and the AC was freezing cold (which I wanted). Overall I’d say if you aren’t fussy on the looks it’s worth staying there.

We planned a short overnight trip away, where we were met by a friendly, polite staff member on arrival. The room had a rather pungent aroma that meant we had to keep the door open constantly overnight. The neighbour was smoking **** in his room, which made it difficult to ventilate the room without another pungent smell wafting in. The usual power points for the microwave were not working which explained why the microwave was positioned within the bathroom area. Needles to say we didn't use the microwave, that was in plane view of the toilet - a metre or so away. Will definitely do our homework a bit better next time before booking again. This was definitely an experience we will never forget. We had a good laugh and got on our way very early the next morning.

Great location but when it comes to cleanliness its all rule, sofa was filt, fridge all rusted. Could have cleaned a bit the room well. We even found a syringe in the sofa

Premier location

Cleaning was great, but probably the best thing. The overall stay was disappointing as it felt the Motel was abandoned most of our stay. The place has potential. Also the website is outdated regarding other activities and the overall gallery on the website

Exterior of building is older in style and keep. Many parts of the building was run down. This hotel is being kept for redevelopment. Rooms have had refurbishments and are clean, comfortable, easily accessible and usable. Check in was fast and easy. Internet was reliable at all times.

Strong smell of cigarettes, run down, no lift so carrying luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Rooms not clean. Loud, rude other guests/residents all hours of the night. Beds comfortable. Everything you need for an overnight stay.
