非洲野生動物園卡拉圖(Africa Safari Karatu)

Onze self-drive tour bracht ons hier na Ngoro-goro op weg naar het vliegveld van Arusha. We waren wel wat gewend inmiddels met betrekking tot hele slechte wegen (in Serengeti & NCA) maar de weg naar de Lodge was zeker zo slecht. (tijdens dit heftige regen seizoen) Net voor de receptie worden nog nieuwe bungalows gebouwd, maar als je daar doorheen kijkt is de rest van het resort echt perfect! De Manager is super vriendelijk en helpt je met maken van keuzes. De F&B Manager past het menu aan voor de kinderen en eigenlijk is al het personeel super lief. De bungalow is wat warm in de nacht, maar de mooie douche en het grote bed zijn perfect. Elke kamer heeft trouwens een 2-persoons en een 1-persoonsbed. De open keuken bereidt heerlijk eten, de eieren worden naar wens gemaakt. Als je een drankje besteld in de bar komt er vaak wat popcorn of chips bij. Al met al een fijne chill plek op weg naar huis of op weg naar de parken!! En de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is gezien de andere lodges ook echt goed!

A very attractive lodge outside of Karatu towards Ngorongoro. It is newly built and some construction of additional buildings is still going on at the premises. Being made of brick, it is quite unusual (refreshingly so) for a typical lodge in the area, with very comfortable, clean and well-designed rooms with fantastic balconies offering stupendous views. Welcoming and friendly staff and tasty food. Beware though of the 6 km access road that gets extremely muddy after the heavy rains, particularly a short stretch about 1,5 km from the main road. Hopefully the lodge will in the future invest in the repair of this little stretch of the access road, to avoid their guests getting stuck in the mud and thus losing some valuable time, and so improving the overall experience of this lovely place.

Posto magico per tranquillità, gentilezza di tutto lo staff e per una vista mozzafiato! Struttura recente che merita di essere valorizzata. Abbiamo avuto un pacchetto All’ inclusive… cena e colazione di buon livello. Frutta e verdura lavata con gli standard adeguati. Per chi vuole un’esperienza fuori dai villaggi. Ci vuole una buon fuoristrada per arrivarci.

Deze nieuwe lodge is gesitueerd in de heuvels en kan in de regentijd niet goed bereikbaar zijn. Het is een prima hotel met goed ontbijt en dinner. de manager is Top en de kamers zijn super. Het uitzicht is adembenemend. Dus als je van avontuur houdt dan laat je de wat lastiger begaanbare wegen zeker niet in de weg staan om hier heen te gaan.

The stay at the lodge was amazing - just wonderful. Very friendly staff, very flexible and helpful. The food was better than in some European 5* hotels and all wishes were taken into for all mesls. Always fresh food and selfmade. Many thanks to the chef. It is far one of the best lodges we had in Tanzanir and Zanzibar. Big congratulations to the whole team and our safari guide Starn_TheGuide. The experiences we had in the Serengeti, in the jungle and in the village were breathtaking. Thank you for the amazing vacation! Keep going like you do! 👏🏽🫶🏽

Superb lodge with the best view ever, so quiet apart from bird life which sometimes lands on your balcony which makes it even more special! Staff wonderful, beer local and good. Nothing was too much. Perfect base to do the Crater safari and Lake Manyara.

Wat een mooi vrij nieuw hotel, het eten is heerlijk, ontbijt was goed kregen ook kippetjes en speklapjes en de eitjes waren heerlijk. Huisjes goed uitgerust en uitzicht is geweldig 🤩 personeel was vriendelijk, moet nog wel wat aangebouwd worden, maar daar heb je geen last van

What a view! This place is quite a bit out of town, but when you're there the views are amazing. With a quaint pool, lovely staff and decent meals. A great place to start your safari adventure from, so close to the ngorogoro-crater. You will not be disappointed, enjoy your stay.
