Myself and my young son stayed here for a week in May. This small, family run hotel is made up of apartments as well as a villa. The whole place is immaculate, it’s so clean and so well maintained. The family who run it are obviously passionate about their business and it shows. All staff are lovely; friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food is excellent with generous portion sizes. The set menu breakfast was enough to keep me full for the whole day. The pool area is again, clean and well looked after. There was a box of pool toys that the children could use which was a nice touch. The pool area was generally pretty quiet during our stay but I never felt that my son couldn’t play. The other guests were all lovely and the whole place has a very calm and relaxed feeling about it. We ate at Milo’s a few times and enjoyed it and would often get lunch from the bakery. Both of these were a short walk from the hotel. All in all we had a lovely, relaxing stay at this friendly and beautifully run hotel and found the family to be excellent hosts. Also a special mention must go to Sofia who was so kind to my son who pestered her relentlessly. This is a perfect place for a young family.

My wife, daughter and I recently stayed here for a week long relaxing break. The weather was still stunning despite being towards the end of October and the end of holiday season. The apartment was great for what we needed with a young baby and is in a fantastic location with restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk and the beach 10 minutes walk away (if that). The pool was relaxing and easy to get a spot to relax. We had breakfast there a few times which was excellent and also some snacks and drinks. Hospitality was second to none with all staff extremely friendly and welcoming. The other thing worth noting is is was excellent value for money. I don’t often think that these days!

Very lovely place! Very easy communication via whatsapp as we arrived late at night. Key was ready at the door. Room is nice, kitchen tiny but absolutely perfect for such a stay. Loved the pool area very much! Love plane spotting and was not dissappointed.

I have travelled to many lovely places in my lifetime and stayed in a variety of different types of accommodation but none have impressed me as much as Elea suites. Yannis, his parents Maria & Adonis and his aunt Nina welcome everyone as if they were family coming home. They create an atmosphere of friendliness and relaxation and have genuine concern to provide the best holiday experience for all their guests. The apartments are situated in small blocks surrounding the beautifully maintained pool. The depths are marked on the edge and there is a separated area for small children. Plenty of comfortable sunbeds and shades are available throughout the day without ever needing to reserve. The pool was never overcrowded or noisy. The apartments themselves are very comfortable and have everything needed for those who want to do self catering. We had a one bedroom apartment with a sofa in the sitting area which can accommodate a third person if needed. The bed and pillows are very good quality and we slept well throughout our stay. We were not disturbed by any road or aircraft noise. The air-conditioning was excellent and easily adjusted. The apartments were cleaned daily, sheets & towels changed regularly. Breakfast /Brunch were available on the shaded terrace overlooking the pool. The quality and value of the food is amazing. Everything is cooked freshly in the kitchen with fresh eggs provided by the free range chickens and fresh fruits and vegetables from the family garden. Guests can choose a book to read from a large selection in the building, on a bring one take one basis and there are also some boardgames to borrow. WiFi is available for those who want but personally I enjoy not being too attached to social media when on holiday. There are several excellent restaurants in the area, some including Iraki's and Mylos are within walking distance. There is a lovely sandy beach also about 15 minutes walk where we swam in the beautiful warm azure water and enjoyed several evening strolls along the seashore listening to the waves. We went on day trips to Spinalonga and the market in Heraklion and an evening excursion to a Greek village in the mountains for a uniquely greek experience. In conclusion Elea is an exceptionally special place to stay and a wonderful base for a holiday. I rarely return to any holiday destination but I will certainly return to elea and to the people I now consider are like family.

We stayed at Elea Suites for a week and could not recommend this wonderful place more highly. The accommodation is extremely comfortable with everything you need to cater for yourself if you wish. Alternatively Mary and Yiannos provide wonderful breakfast and lunch with fresh produce grown in their grounds by Antonis. This family run establishment is a little gem, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. We can’t wait to return. Thank you Mary, Yiannos and Antonis for your amazing hospitality.

We were a family of 5 with a baby who stayed in the Elea Villa, across the road from the main property but extremely close. The Villa is traditional style and older than the apartments but very spacious with three good sized double bedrooms, all with air conditioning. The air conditioning does not cool the living area so that stayed quite warm. There is a nice veranda to sit out and food can be ordered to the Villa. The travel cot we had was a bit broken with not a very flat base so we co-slept with our baby which was not a problem for us. The breakfast on site was excellent and all cooked to order. The brunch and lunch menu had several traditional dishes and all were delicious. Food could take 30min or so to arrived as it is all freshly prepared. The pool is lovely with nice shaded loungers though it is competitive to get the sun umbrellas! Overall we had a really great stay.

We were fortunate enough to be just across the main buildings and enjoyed a nice tree- shaded patio outside of our room. Our attractively decorated studio room was very generously sized with a large comfortable bed and quality bathroom and kitchen fittings. It was perfect for the 2 of us. The setting of the pool is pretty with loungers and you can eat breakfast on the terrace. The location is great for the beach and bus stops. This does lead to a bit of road noise but you soon get used to it. Giannis, his parents and staff members made our trip very memorable. They went out of their way to assist with questions and were very patient and friendly.

Just had my second solo stay at the Elea Suites and can’t praise it high enough. The apartment was very well appointed and comfortable. It was kept spotless by the 2 lovely ladies who cleaned daily. The pool is amazing and the general attention to detail is top class. Giannis and family have again made me so welcome and they can’t do enough for you. A truly wonderful family and fantastic place to stay on Crete. I certainly plan to return!

Ich kann absolut nichts bemängeln! Tolle Gastgeber, super gutes Frühstück, großer Pool, extrem bequeme Betten - einfach perfekt! In 5-8 min Fußweg ist man am Meer. Lediglich einen Mietwagen würde ich empfehlen, da es in dem kleinen Dorf nicht viel zu sehen gibt. Die Parkplätze sind kostenlos.
