黑爾種植園套房酒店(Plantation Hale Suites)

Location is great and the property is extremely clean and quiet. Our room was very outdated ( early 80's for furniture, carpet, bathroom) but clean and everything worked. It was spacious but bare minimum in kitchen for supplies, the coffee pot is super tiny. My only complaint is you can't extend your stay for late check out or additional day, that really impacts people on hikes and etc. We had to pack our stuff out (530am) and couldn't do late check out to come back to pack and shower. The young desk clerks stated policy for late check out was call morning of after 9am. That's ridiculous because most tourist are traveling across island exploring early. We asked at 815pm night before and staff couldn't give us late check out for next day, that's a deal breaker for us coming back to this property and was absolutely not willing to check or call management, for this reason I would avoid property if you have early tours or adventures. No one wants to pack out 5am without opportunity for late check out.

Card didn't work halfway through the stay. Room had locked doors. Very odd.

We paid for a single bed and instead were given a room with 2 small twin beds. The beds were so old and worn out that me and my gf were sinking into the middle of the bed, neither of us got any sleep on those beds. The hotel room was super dirty and old. The ceiling is caked with dirt and dust in the popcorn pattern. The porcelain was peeling off the shower and tub. Furthermore, the tv in the unit was broken like somebody had punched the tv. I do not give reviews but this was the worst place I have ever stayed.

The first room we were assigned smelled strongly of cat pee and we couldn't sleep there. The second room smelled better but was shabby. Stained shower enclosure, broken window shade slats, doors with frayed, delaminated bottoms, spotted carpets, bare light bulbs around bathroom mirror, etc. This is not a three star resort. The basic design works, and the room was decorated nicely but needs maintenance badly.

Just stayed one night ac unit a bit noisy. All other ammenities were great in our 1 bdrm. Staff accomodating to move us to first floor If you need a taxi early am (4-5am) be sure to arrange early from this location. We ended up using Ernest from Citicab. Some say its too early for them and others dont serve this area. Could not reserve an Uber from this area for the airport trip even tho its just 6 miles from airport...

Full kitchens and a pull out bed on the couch- great for longer stays. Be aware the front desk closes early so if you check in late, you have to call security. The buildings are not well marked, so make sure to scope it out in the daytime to see which building is which. Clean hotel. Basic kitchen amenities.

Nice place. Enjoyed our stay there. Only issues were unnecessarily complicated wi-fi that ended up not working after someone came to our room to help get us set up and a laundry facility that required an unpleasant app.

Suite felt like it was the perfect choice for a week stay and with two little ones because you have the option of cooking their favorite foods as well. I didnt think the pool area was all worth the extra fees they charge specially since we didnt even use it. They should make this optional as the beach is within walking distance. Fridge was leaking during our entire 8 day stay. They provided towels for the leak and that was it. TV was not working on day one and they swapped it out. Good customer service but they should have checked all of this before we arrived. They don't automatically include non stick pans, you have to ask. It was ok.
