We booked the 'Presidential Suite' for 2 nights after a wonderful stay at Eliamos Hotel and Spa on Kefalonia, what a mistake! As seasoned travellers who like to stay in wonderful properties we were very disappointed - this accommodation is not 5 Star and does not warrant the room rate. Our first experience was a cross looking man at the gate who was trying to tell us where to park. He didn't speak any English and we aren't as arrogant to assume the world speaks our language BUT as a first point of contact for guests maybe have a welcoming, smiling member of staff with some English. We arrived early and asked for our bags to be stored until check in, the hotel kindly advised that the suite was nearly ready and offered us breakfast, not expected nor necessary but welcomed. We were eventually taken in a golf buggy to the suite, our hearts sank: - the interior furnishings were old, dated and looked a bit grubby, - the suite smelt like it hadn't been used for a while, - there was an odd mismatch of outdoor furniture. The huge sunbeds had cheap plastic covers which meant they got extremely hot, - the parasol was ridiculously small and had clearly seen better days, - the fixed benches had not been well maintained, paint chipped off and ants under the cushions (I expect some ants but not to this degree), - the concrete into the pool also had not been maintained, - we had to ask for the pool to be cleaned, - the jacuzzi was broken, - part of the roof had fallen down and had not been fixed, - electric wall sockets were hanging out of the wall, - the electric opening/closing curtains did not fill the windows, allowing early morning light in, - the showers were poorly finished. The pictures on their website were clearly taken a very long time ago and are not a true representation of the suite. We love dogs but the constant barking from the village below was too much, as were the 15-20 flights a day passing overhead as they came into land. Not at all peaceful. The staff are really lovely but how they are taught to attend to guests is too regimented. The host at breakfast couldn't cope with our simple request of pushing 2 tables together for the 3 of us to sit at, and made us feel quite uncomfortable with a restaurant full of people looking on (the restaurant did have tables for 4 but had stupidly low benches which were impossible to eat at). We expressed our dissatisfaction to 'management' (not entirely sure who was who because there was so many of them). They got the pool cleaned, advised dinner in the buffet restaurant was on the hotel and accommodated our late check out but they weren't really interested... we were not their usual clientele. Thoroughly disappointing.

Globalement un très bon séjour, le site est très agréable avec la piscine privée et la vue sur mer. Seul reproche nous avons trouvé que la carte du restaurant n’est pas adaptée à une clientèle familiale l’été et le service chargé de livraison pour le room service est ridicule compte tenu de la proximité du bar avec les suites. L’hôtel reste très beau et ne pas hésiter à insister pour obtenir une villa première ligne.

Eliamos Villas tumble down a green hill with flowers of every colour and type toward the sea. Native stone forms part of the buildings so it feels like an Kefalonian village - not new villas with all amenities. One can dream of the wonders of Kephalonia seated on a private patio with pool. Or do laps in the community pool with an outstanding view of village, sea and mountains.. Simple yet elegant to suit all with a variety of options - swim, cycle, hike or at the Welllness Center use a Reformer then a deep tissue massage. Chef Socrates Maliganis prepares an outstanding menu sourced locally and organic as possible. The organic lamb is beyond description as are vegetarian and fish plates, too. I feel so refreshed! I plan to return in July for a week of sun, sea, swimming and total relaxation pampered by the friendly, helpful staff. A true holiday!

I don’t even know where to start, this place was so perfect. From check in to check out, everything was so smooth. We had to change rooms due a broken curtain rail on our 2nd night and Marialena dealt with it brilliantly. Our first room was a two storey one bed overlooking the greenery. It was so beautiful, with a lovely private pool , surrounding gardens and fab balcony with two loungers. Our second room was a two bed villa overlooking the sea - just wow! The view was breathtaking. The beds are incredibly comfortable with soft white linen and plump pillows. Bathrooms luxurious with lovely natural full size products. The sevice is 5* plus. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and made a real effort to stop and chat. We became very fond of the restaurant staff over the week. All in all, we can’t wait to return. Food was glorious, particularly the breakfasts.

This is an exceptionally good hotel and we enjoyed it very much. It's the first time I've stayed in a hotel like this and the communal pool has been so quiet - absolutely zero stress about will we get a sun lounger. The hotel is so small and intimate you feel really well cared for and heard. Our room was beautiful and we enjoyed the breakfast and food in the restaurant - very good. We had a massage and facial too - both excellent. Really beautiful views also. Found all the staff to be really kind and helpful. A truly wonderful and relaxing place to stay and we will return. Only downside is I think the price point is quite high but that wouldn't stop me coming again. We hired a car which I would say is a must. We loved Dafnoudi Beach in the north, Assos, hiring a boat for the day and going to the volcanic beach and white rock beach and the underground lake caves.

Eliamos is a beautiful and intimate property. The rooms are huge and have a great private pool - you won’t want to leave. The highlight is the restaurant. We are almost every meal there and never got tired of it. The best food with local ingredients and a diverse menu. The breakfast was one of best we have ever had. We didn’t use the gym or spa but both looked great too. It’s on a secluded part of the island so a rental car is a must for exploring. See Antisamos Beach and Melissani Caves. Not a “kid focused” hotel, but they were great with our kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 10 nights we stayed at this extremely well presented and managed boutique hotel. Immaculately clean, excellent friendly/professional staff and beautiful comfortable villas with breath-taking views. The villas were wonderfully private, peaceful and tastefully furnished. Breakfast was exceptional. With so many traditional restaurants close by we only ate in the restaurant a couple of times and experienced room service also on a couple of occasions - very nice. Highly recommend this beautiful property in a wonderful part of the island.

We booked Eliamos in concert with other family members as we headed to Kefalonia for a family wedding. What a wonderful place! The view, villas, pools, restaurant/spa, and especially the service were casually exceptional. We will find a way back very soon!

Absolutely Gorgeous! Everything in the hotel is sustainable and looks like part of the gorgeous nature surrounding it; flowers and herbs are planted everywhere, attracting many beautiful butterflies, some bees, and some cute insects (nothing scary!). The Amos villa is very nice, spatial, and very comfortable with an espresso machine and useful kitchen utilities. The staff is super polite and nice, and the service is very efficient, and they treat their guests with extra care! The food is great, the breakfast menu especially is very diverse which is superb! The lunch and dinner menus are smaller but the quality isn't compromised. On checkout, we got a small box of herbs, honey, and olive oil when left, which was super cute! Certainly the most beautiful hotel we've been to! ＜3
