The best thing about my stay was that Brandy at the front desk was a total sweetheart. The negative was my experience with other guests here. I don’t think I would recommend this for my fellow solo female travelers. I was only in the lobby for a short while yet had three different negative interactions with male guests. I was feeling under the weather so was wearing a mask to protect others around me. This was apparently a big problem with the men here. One man didn’t get out of the way for me to exit the elevator until he had patronizing “complimented” my mask. Then two men walking by me very obviously fake coughed/hacked at me. They were fine before and after walking by me, but did it very obviously the moment we were closely in contact. A third man brushed against me even though he had ample room to walk by, and he did not apologize, it was clearly on purpose. I don’t know why these men felt the need to be aggressive with me when I literally was doing something to keep others healthy. It made me feel unsafe there and I stayed in my room, not venturing out even to get breakfast. As a solo young female traveler 10 hours from home this was a really lousy feeling. Also, in the morning the fire alarms went off and we had to go outside in the rain. Turns out an employee burnt some toast. The room was nice though.

The Bad: The shower leaked terribly and almost ruined a laptop. there was a constant mysterious wet spot (like saturated with water) on the carpet by the window/ heater. Lots of random hair on the lampshades and baseboards. No extra blankets/ pillows for the pull out sofa bed. Huge “incidental” fee for locals. I’m told this comes off the card at checkout, but it could easily overdraw someone who just doesn’t have the extra financial flexibility. The Good: Check in/ check out was easy and convenient, and location is super easy to find Nice hot breakfast Friendly and helpful staff

We checked in at 11pm and we were supposed to have 2 beds. We paid for 2 beds. We received 1 bed after waiting 45 minutes for the manager to get back from a break outside of the hotel. I slept on the floor and barely slept. I want my money back or we will let a lot of people know about our experience

Front desk personnel were friendly and efficient. At check in and check out. However, dirty towels were hung in bathroom, someone had blown their nose in it, toilet bowl was filthy and needed to be scrubbed. Room was not ready on arrival so I believe the room was not cleaned properly as we waited.

Great location to stay when making a quick trip. Staff is always friendly! Pillows are a bit big and firm and couldn't get the thermostat to stick. But overall great place!

I stay here often. Breakfast is nice to have, although its the same every day, there is variety. Pet friendly is a plus plus.

We have stayed in several hotels in the Salem area the last couple of years and this was one of the more affordable, comfortable and quite ones.

Hotel was clean and well kept. The breakfast was a bit erratic. Some days better than others
