河島酒店(River Island Hotel)

Good location, rooms a little dated but good size. Lovely staff

La colazione purtroppo era davvero scarsa, l’albergo non è male ma è un po’ datato.

Très déçus : belle entrée, belle réception mais alors les chambres sont complètement différentes des photos : bruyantes( on entend tout), sales, matelas avec un creux au milieu.En plus, sur les 2 jours on a eu une soirée " communion" dans l hotel. Un hôtel où on ne peut pas se reposer après des journées de visites.

Hotel moyen sans parking, assez bruyant, avec une fête de 150 personnes très agitées en arrivant... Petit déjeuner très, très moyen pour un non irlandais, même pas un croissant à disposition le matin. Pas d'ascenseur en arrivant pour monter à la réception.

In questa località non c'è praticamente nulla! Quindi questo hotel rappresenta un punto focale del paesino, la sera in cui abbiamo soggiornato noi era anche l'unico luogo che offriva un ristorante. Gli altri due presenti erano chiusi. Abbiamo cenato bene, la colazione non è di ottima qualità però. La stanza era abbastanza pulita (a parte un ragno enorme che camminava sul soffitto al nostro arrivo), soprattutto la biancheria. La moquette e il bagno sono molto datati. Non ci tornerei e sinceramente non farei una sosta in questa cittadina. Ce ne sono altre che offrono di più a pochi km di distanza. Purtroppo non ho foto da pubblicare perché ho dovuto eliminarne diverse per problemi di memoria piena del telefono.

Alles wunderbar und gemütlich. Ist schon etwas alt das Hotel, aber ansonsten sehr schön.

This Evening I went to Castleisland to go to shops for ingredients for school but afterwards ended up here in this hotel to eat dinner. I went in here for the first time and it’s a really lovely Hotel. The staff are lovely and friendly and very helpful and kind hearted. There’s kids menus for kids here. My son didn’t want anything from the kids menu so he decided he wanted to try chicken wings with bbq sauce for the first time. My son almost 14. He said they were alright. I tried them and they were lovely . It’s a pity they don’t give out small lemon tissue for sticking hands is all for chicken wings. I had Tempura 🍤 Prawns with Garlic Sauce and it was lovely and tasty. The hotel is lovely and comfortable and cosy and warm. We really enjoyed our meals and we were happy out which was great.

The whole hotel needs a good money injection, which is disappointing when it’s part of a large hotel group! I asked to move rooms as the bed was less than adequate, second room was no better. I was on my own and the proceeded to give me a room with two beds and a fold out bed! The room was so cluttered! Matress was desperate and pillows were awful! 3 star hotels and gave better standards than that! Big commercial bins at the top of the stairs like in a hospital. Bar was cluttered and messy. Seats were dirty and very uncomfortable as they needs new cushions.

Stayed in the Riverisland Hotel as the venue I was attending was next door...only 1 Hotel in this location.... the room was dirty and shabby...notified the hotel afterwards, can't say they seemed too bothered about it to be honest....just said they would discuss it with housekeeping manager.
