黑馬酒店(Black Horse Hotel)

We had a wonderful stay at The Black Horse Hotel and highly recommend this charming establishment. The check-in process was easy and efficient, allowing us to quickly settle into our comfortable room. We especially loved walking down to the falls, enjoying the beautiful scenery and serene atmosphere of the area.

Could not find fault with anything. The hotel clean, staff were friendly and very polite. Restaurant food was excellent, both breakfast and evening meal. The location of the hotel is perfect in the centre of Grassington and has excellent walks. Excellent place to stay for exploring other places in the near.

We enjoyed our dinner and breakfasts very much. The room was well decorated and clean, but the mattress definitely needs replacing (or at least regular turning). It was lumpy and had large worn areas that were like valleys in the mattress. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. Excellent food.

I've visited this place on several occasions and it's always been a treat! Our most recent visit couldn't be rated with anything other than 5 stars! Being there on a Sunday, we didn't want to miss the opportunity for a roast dinner. The beef was cooked perfectly, and it came with a large homemade yorkshire pudding, lots of gravy, and a selection of vegetables. The new spring/summer menu looks incredible, featuring pub classics as well as more experimental dishes. We'll definitely be back to give it a try!

Called in initially for a drink after a lovely walk around Grassington village. Well the smell of the food we couldn't resist luckily we were able to get a table, amazing home cooked food with great service. The portion size and value were great, with a lovely cosy atmosphere. Will be visiting again.

Check in was good, rooms was compact but adequate, comfy bed but pillows too firm and big for us but that's nothing to complain about. The bathroom and room just needs some investment, it was clean but needs tiding up which let it down we felt. Ate at restaurant, food was bang average, I had a burger and a plate of fries with zero presentation and my wife had a curry which she said was ok. Both had puddings which were both nice if not far too much coconut on the blancmange. Breakfast was good, need more than one slice of toast though but happy to provide more when prompted. Service overall was good and staff friendly.

Oh my word. We ate on Sunday lovely meal and excellent service, staff were a joy. Went back on Tuesday to find a completely different experience. Staff were rude at best and the young lady serving threw a strop and had a very audible tif in the kitchen.

Main course all ok,however ordered The Cheese and biscuits at £12.50 Attracted by the menu describing HOMEMADE CRACKERS!! with Chutney cheeses and seasonal accompaniments The biscuits were not HOMEMADE they were standard supermarket fayre and soft,the Seasonal accompaniments were 6 small slices of apple and the 3 small pieces of Cheese straight out of the Fridge. Not worth half the cost .I would suggest to the owner to be Honest with his description . presentation like this is Deception

Very nice pub/hotel excellent location in the lovely village of Grassington. All the staff were nice and friendly and the breakfast and evening meals delicious . The room was clean and nicely furnished with a comfortable bed with quality bedding and towels.
