The hotel staff when we stayed were not very friendly or helpful. Booked a twin but the gave us a double and said had no space to change, then said could go in a family room. The single bed was a camp bed and looked as though had not been cleaned. Toilet did not flush properly. Wouldn’t stay again.

A very clean hotel, no frill and fancies but all you need for a comfortable stay. Super quiet so aiding a good nights sleep. Used this hotel while we toured Scotland and was perfectly happy with hotel, room and staff. Cafes nearby for food.

Excellent stay at this frequently visited Travelodge, which is also convenient for a number of stores close to mit.

Having booked through Sembo (part of Stena Group, more Scambo than Sembo), I arrived at the hotels reception, and I was accordingly greeted by Frazer. Nice chap with a good sense of humour ;) He quickly processed our arrival and gave us our directions to our room. The room was clean, tidy, and fresh. We didn't order any breakfast, but there is a Greggs and other shops nearby. Having stayed at Travelodge (Ayr) before the family and I will happily stay there again, only next time I will book direct and not through Scambo, sorry, I mean Sembo.

Very friendly staff, also so helpful with our needs. Made welcome, and spoken too with manners. Had time for us, to ask about trip. Helping us with, places to go and directions. Many Thanks, from us all. 🫶

On our visit to Travel lodge Ayr, we met a receptionist who welcomed us warmly and attended to us with a charming smile. The hotel environment was good and it has a well parking space for the visitors. However, the bathroom was not adequately kitted with soap and cleaning material. The WiFi in the hotel needs to be free throughout and not for just 30mins.

Honestly I would NOT ever return to this place. The chairs in the rooms had not been cleaned for what looked like several months, they were full of food crumbs and hair!, the room light was full of dead flys ( yes understandably this can happen but surly this should be cleaned out! ), the bath also had a few dead moths inside it, not to also mention that the shower curtain was full of dirt! Unlike the male on reception at check in who was friendly and pleasant , the member of staff who was cleaning the rooms/travel lodge was extremely rude and lacks simple communication!

The stay was very not nice, the room felt dirty. I have listed reasons below. Bogie on wall Picky bits on roof Awrite shaggers on tv. (Although was the best part of our stay) Fluffy bathroom vent Mouldy shower curtain Smells like dogs Broken soap dispenser Sink doesn’t drain No plugs next to bed Dead spider on wall 1 pillow each Room light is as bright as my friend who booked this room
