We've stayed here many times and we will again. The included breakfast is amazing; greatly appreciated. The cost vs quality has been a good proposition for us. It's always a balance. The location for our purpose (visiting QueensU) has been a significant consideration and a big plus.. On this last 2-day stay, there was no hot water in our room. It was explained at checkout that a pump was down after a 3wk shutdown. But the hotel didn't tell us; we had to learn when we checked out. Had we known, as the hotel seemed to know, we would have stayed somewhere else this time and returned to the Conf Ctr next time.

The stay here was pleasant. Staff were friendly and welcoming and were nice when we asked to extend our check out time slightly. The breakfast was very good. Much better than most included breakfasts and I liked how they changed the menu selections slightly on the two mornings we were there. I noticed the chef come out from the kitchen and check on the food which is a great sign. For the hotel building a needed improvement is the water pressure. I understand it’s an old building. But the shower was very weak which wasn’t great. Otherwise, I’d recommend this hotel and would stay here again when we return to Kingston next year!

Breakfast was nice. The heating system is terrible. It was impossible to control in one room so I had to change in the middle of the night. The corridor by the next room was sauna hot. The bed linens were fine. The location was okay and the surroundings park-like. It's getting old and showing its age. I need to be able to sleep as the first priority and it needs to work on the HVAC. I would never stay there again. The reaction from the staff polite but you are taking a chance with the noise and from the heat/cool unit and its inability to be at the proper termperature. Hint - if the heat is controlled by up and down arrows, that's the old system. If there's a dial control, that's the replacement. The 4 story building is the better one.

Great place to stay, but my window could not shut properly, and the room was freezing cold when I arrived, and it was drafty throughout the night. Also, the toilet was running intermittently through the night. A good tip might be for hotel staff to spend a few minutes in each room once in a while, to detect these kinds of issues.

I was only here for one night for a conference. The food supplied by the hotel for the conference was very good. The staff, especially the servicing staff was excellent. You could really hear the noise in the hallway but most hotels are like that. The bed was very comfortable- haven't slept that long in such a long time!

This was the perfect choice for an overnight visit with my Queen's attending family. It was very comfortable and clean and quiet, a convenient location away from the busy downtown, and included a delicious very filling breakfast. I would definitely stay here again!

The bed was terrible, made excessive squeaking noise and shaken badly when moving at the bed. The mattress definitely need to be replaced. By the way, don’t buy the breakfast vouchers, unreasonable expensive- $25. We did not ask the price until we see the final invoice.

My second stay at the proper was excellent, as was the first. Beautiful and peaceful setting; the location was perfect for visiting our daughter at Queen’s. Very good breakfast and parking included. We would definitely return.

Le quartier où se trouve l’hôtel est très beau, 30 minutes à pied du Centre Ville, proche de l’Université. La chambre est spacieuse, propre et confortable. Le personnel à la réception très accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est abondant et varié mais pas extraordinaire. On entendait un peu de bruit dans la chambre comme de l’eau dans un tuyau mais pas en permanence et quelques portes qui claquaient à l’extérieur mais rien de grave.
