博霍馬猩猩營地(Buhoma Gorilla Camp)

In Bwindi kom je als toerist natuurlijk voor DE berggorilla's. Logischerwijs moet je ook ergens overnachten en eten. Er is wat ons betreft geen betere plek te vinden (zeker als je kijkt naar prijs/kwaliteits verhouding) dan Buhuma Gorilla Camp. Bij aankomst een uiterst vriendelijk onthaal, met warme handoeken en een vers vruchtensap. Uiterst vriendelijk en professioneel personeel. De huisjes zijn RUIM en perfect gelegen tussen de bomen. Over de inrichting is goed nagedacht. Alles wat je als reiziger wilt hebben is er. Voldoende lichtpunten (In Oeganda mankeert dat wel eens in zelfs de meest luxe lodges) en stopcontacten. Plek om je koffer/tas op te zetten. En eindelijk een hotel/logde die snapt dat je met twee personen ook twee plekken nodig hebt voor de koffers/tassen. TOP. Goed bed met een muskietennet/klamboe. Waranda met bank voor huisjes. Ruime badkamer met een echt warme douche. Gewoon een fijne kamer. Eten in Oeganda is bijna overal erg goed of zelfs excellent. De kok van dit restaurant overtreft alles wat we hebben gegeten in Oeganda. Werkelijk ZALIG. Niet allen heel erg lekker, maar ook een fantastische presentatie. Het wat de beste maaltijd van de hele vakantie. De banana-fritlers (gebakken banaan) is de allerlekkerste welke we hebben gegeten in heel Uganda. We hebben de kok gesmeekt om.de dag erna nogmaals dit heerlijke nagerecht te maken. Iedereen van het personeel wil oprecht het naar je zin maken. Uiterst vriendelijk. Het camp/De logde ligt 10 minuten rijden van de plek waar de Gorillatrekking start. Erg prettig dat je niet al te ver hoeft te rijden. Wij kunnen iedereen deze plek aanraden.

Das Buhoma Gorilla Camp hat stilvoll eingerichtete Cottages, die viel Platz bieten. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wärend man das sehr leckere Abendessen in dem ebenfalls liebevoll eingerichteten Restaurant genießt, wird das Cottage für die Nacht vorbereitet (Moskitonetz etc.). Das war mit Sicherheit nicht unser letzter Besuch im Buhoma Gorilla Camp.

We hadden een ruime en schone kamer. Het personeel was heel erg vriendelijk. Ze hadden voor ons zelfs als verrassing een tafel en stoelen uit het hotel gehaald zodat we naast een beekje tussen het groen konden dineren bij kaarslicht. Verder was er wifi in het restaurant en stroomaansluiting en warm water in de kamer.

We've come back to Italy a couple of weeks ago. Our stay at Buhoma Gorilla Camp was one of a kind, we were a couple with our son. You can see it has been planned and built by someone very knowledgeable about nature and sustainable tourism, when you are in your lodge you feel like you are in the jungle, there's also a nice stream you can enjoy the relaxing sound of. everything has been built respecting the style of the country, great wood everywhere. The staff also has been chosen carefully, you see a great team working together, friendly among them and with the guests. Everybody has been kind, anticipating our wishes, and helpful. Buhoam Gorilla Lodge is also very conveniently located. Uganda is an amazing country, and safe to travel to, but the extra help and needed suggestions you can get from Richard, the super kind and fun to be with owner, make your journey smooth besides unique.

We really loved the place. Located at only two kilometers from one of the entrances of the Bwindi National Park, it's clearly a perfect place to approach all the activities within this unique park. The lodge is composed by few beautiful cottages immersed in the forest. We were surrounded by greenery and the sound of birds and the flowing water in the tiny river passing underneath our family room. The service was excellent: Richard and his team were super nice and kind, also extremely helpful solving the issues we had with other companies, they made us feel part of a family. This place will remain in our hearts and I really recommend it to anybody wishing to spend few days in exploring this wonderful region and meet the gorillas. You feel the real Africa, in the middle of the forest, and the lodges are wooden made and eco-friendly. I can strongly recommend this place where we hope to soon be back

Loved this hotel so much! The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and fun and the accommodations were so lovely. They added touches like adding a bed warmer and spraying for mosquitoes before bed. I would 10/10 recommend. Our only regrets was only staying for one night!

The lodging is spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the cabins are spaced far enough away to have privacy. The location is amazing, and there's even a shortcut to the craft center in town. The staff are very friendly and provide incredible service. They even gave us umbrellas to borrow so we didn't get wet during the rainy season. The food is delicious, and the chef is very friendly. There's even wifi! Highly recommend!

A wonderful place to be! Surrounded by jungle trees in a beautiful environment the spacious and country-specific furnished cottages are perfect to relax after exciting travel days. I really liked the small paths between the cottages and the restaurant. The staff is extraordinary caring and friendly and wanted to make everything possible for us. The food was very tasty and different every day. Richard, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and is always looking after his guests. In Buhoma there are so many things to explore aside the gorilla tracking so it’s worth to stay longer than the usual two nights as most of the guests do (we stayed longer 😀). I’m sure to come back and stay again at Buhoma Gorilla Camp!
