It is definitely not 4 star! Place is run down and screams for some updates. Shower tray leaked making floor slippery and dangerous, sliding doors on the enclosure were unhooked - that's a hazard by the way, mildew in the shower is beyond describing! Mirror light doesn't work. Towels are 100 years old as well as pillow cases. They turned into muslin by now. TV if you call it TV is a size of a fish eye and is so old that buzzing noise in the background makes you put the sound so high that next room can hear the program you are watching. I've paid £79 for a night and must say, it's not worth half of that money. I travel a lot and sad to say some Premier Inns are more comfortable and looked after than Dunsley Hall. The owner doesn't love his property and that's a shame as from outside the place looks magical. Unfortunately inside tells you other story.

Great staff at check in and in the Bar. The lack of dinner in the hotel and breakfast only from 8am is why it gets a 4. I would stay here again but not in a Monday or Tuesday

Lovely hotel with really nice staff and comfortable rooms. I really liked the little welcome basket with plenty of tea and milk (they know their customers). The convenient restaurant next door serves really tasty food too and delicious a breakfast with really helpful staff. If I was to suggest an improvement it would be to maybe if possible improve the soundproofing especially from sound coming from below.

Lovel hotel and rooms very spacious, very clean. But no breakfast available and no restaurant on monday/Tuesday for evening meal. After a long day i didnt want to drive in to town to eat.

Everything was good. Only down side was my room was directly above reception and the acoustic were poor. Therefore I heard every conversation and banging of front door when closed.

It is a nice hotel but I would not recommend anyone to stay there on a Monday night as there is no food available. The room was slightly smaller than expected and the shower only offered cold water. The night staff lady was lovely!

Stay was for a wedding. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Management was very accommodating as we had to make a few changes. Couldn't fault a thing. Restaurant fabulous!!also staff. Highly recommended

Lovely room and building. Breakfast available in a separate building, smart and clean but rather a noisy place.

Had a two day stay to visit friends,overall very pleased with everything.Great parking area.Hotel has its own resturant but there is a another eatery close by which does breakfasts and snacks,very friendly. Would recommend a stay at Dunsley Hall.

This is a really lovely hotel. A beautiful old manor house with grounds. Our room was large, clean and well appointed. The public rooms were old-world elegance. We stayed on a Monday night, and there was no food available on site - but we had breakfast in the cafe complex next door which is owned by the same group. It was modern and clean and the food was ok (but not wonderful). Not as nice as the hotel itself.

The hotel is set in lovely grounds and is an old manor house as you might expect. I had a lovely welcome and the room was fine (the Tiffany room) I slept with the windows all open as it was a hot night and there was no noise at all. Breakfast was in the restaurant round the corner but was very good, my only criticism is that the shower was cold.

Dunsley Hall , is a lovely hotel of character, very helpful staff , definitely stay again.

This was a lovely hotel and reasonable cost. We had 3 large suitcases which was difficult to get upstairs as its a listed building but the room was large and very clean.

The breakfast was expensive and not in the hotel. The gardens and walk to the canal was excellent
